if you wanna get all technical on me....

the title acutally states "iCopter/Papi is greater than Spore"....which leaves it open to interpretation as to what "greater than" actually represents.

please, don't turn into an internet policeman. just go with it.....breathe.....

I AM VERY PISSED WITH EA! Why no Scrabble in the UK? Why no Tetris in the UK? Why no Spore in the UK? What about the other 9 titles that they announced? Are they going to be available in the UK?

What I don't understand is... why are iPod nano/Classic EA Games released and not iPod touch/iPhone games? AAAAAARGH!

Pocketgamer reported recently that EA plans on releasing them for Europe "in the coming weeks."

Fair point. However, big 'brand' name developers are more dependable than some kid trying to make apps in their bedroom. So I expect Apple knows what needs checking out more.
IE, with some random unheard of developer, you don't know what you are going to get. So it needs looking into. Where as Spore etc is another matter entirely.

i'm not sure if "dependable" is the right word, but I understand what you are trying to say. if anything, EA certainly attracts far more free publicity for Apple than any other developer on the app store today so i'm sure it's just a matter of economics. Whether the apps they develop or the timelines they operate under are "dependable", that's a whole different discussion.

in the end, it's a mutually beneficial relationship

And....once again I find out about a new game NOT from constantly checking iTunes App Store (because right now it's buried there, having a release date of Sept. 5), but from coming here and seeing a post about it. Thank goodness I check macrumors as regularly as the app store -- but what about the people who don't??

They really need to change the whole "early release date" system they have, as it just doesn't work. I'm sure a big release like SPORE is going to eventually get an ad on the main App Store homepage, so people will find it that way -- but what about all the other smaller app releases that can't afford a front-page ad, and get buried on the first day they're released?? Doesn't seem right...

I had the same thing happen, I thought it was strange that I found out about the game through MR, despite all the hype that Spore has been receiving. Anybody play both the PC/Mac version and the iPod version? I was thinking about getting it for my classic, since my Mini can't run Spore.

Woah - a bunch of threads just merged (including a very old one), which has made things very confusing.

Gonna wait for a few more reviews until I try this one...

Yeah I got really confused there for a minute. I understand merging similar threads, but this is taking it a little too far.

I want to buy it and have been checking all day today and yesterday, it's not out in the UK. So annoyed! If I had an iTunes voucher I'd buy it now. I wouldn't care if it had american spelling.

No, your title implied that some other game was better than Spore. It implied a review. It was posted by someone who hadn't even played the game. It was a confusing statement, and factually inaccurate, as far as you knew at the time.

I think I'll be waiting for some more reviews as well. I have several other games I enjoy so I don't mind waiting a while longer
