in order to maintain happiness you will need to make sure - never get near any previous generation of iMac 20" or 24".

My second white iMac 20" arrived today. I paid full price for it and I am very, very happy! When I get near a new one it makes me even more happier.

Could you be more specific here? I have a 20" White iMac 2.0GHz and was thinking of upgrading to a 20" Alum 2.4GHz iMac. From yr msg I gather you feel this is not an upgrade at all?

I love my new Aluminium iMac 20" - perfect for everything I need to do and more*.

*(I just wish ATI and Apple would fornicate more and produce decent drivers for their X2400 card!)

Am I allowed to rate a machine I do not own but have access to it? A friend of mine purchased the 20" and it looks beautiful. The screen is nice and sharp and that glossy, to my surprise, does not reflect a lot of glare. I would rate it an 8.5 out of 10 because I personally dislike the low-profile keys. The one other issue is the screen does not swivel but it is VESA mount compatible. :)
