He can't help himself. Perhaps Apple can market some meds.
There is nothing wrong with the new iOS that updates will not fix. Heck I do not even use my "wedgits".
Lots of other things to do on your phone than worry about this. But I know you will not let it go.
When I swip to the left in lock screen to my widgets at point it won't let me swip what can this be ?
It might be a glitch. It might get fixed in updates. But until then you can swipe back and forth from the home screen so it is not the end of the world.
You are getting yourself all worked up again over something that will likely be fixed in the future and does not stop you from using your phone.
If from the lock screen you can swipe to get to your widgets but can not swipe back to your lock screen, it is likely a software glitch. My 7+ allows me to do this over and over with out a glitch.

I don't see the issue or bug here? Looks like a mis-swipe... You swipe again and it works. Happens all the time, no need to worry.
You should just make an appointment anyway.
And schedule a bunch of them also ahead of time since you know you'll end up going back for various other things that will come up multiple times. I know getting in at the Apple store within days is not always available and your situations need to do be addressed right away...
Are you using a case with a screen protector? My neighbor put one on his 7 and made the screen very unresponsive to touch and swipes. He removed and all was perfect again.
Like the others said could just be a mis-swipe as it does work but sometimes you need to swipe twice. Sometimes I have to swipe twice, too. Like when my hands are very dry.
Have you tried without a screen protector?
Like I said my friend was having trouble sometimes with scrolling and just starting an app until he removed his screen protector.
If it only happens every once in a while, it does not take that much time to swipe again. You video shows that it works but you had to swipe again . . . . not a big deal.
Do you think it's a bug since my mom iPhone 6 does the same thing but my iPad Air 2 does not
It might be worth testing out without the screen protector then before going back to Apple
