My purchase wasn’t dependent on WWDC. I never thought Apple was going to majorly enhance or overhaul iPadOS this year. I think they should have done more, but I don’t plan to return based on that. The M4 iPad Pro has a much better display and Face ID compared to Macs. Otherwise, I might have upgraded my M1 MBA instead of buying my iPad Pro.

Honestly though, the iPadOS experience is nice as it is, after looking at a Windows laptop all day for work.

I bought it for the OLED, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, M4 upgrade from M1. I was HOPING to see something I'd like from wwdc, but alas, I did not. Hoping devs do something with the power the M4 has. i.e. Feral Interactive updating Grid Autosport for 120fps/max visuals. We'll see how it goes from the developers. Apple fell short for me. No I'm not returning it. Again, like I said before, this will most likely be my last hardware upgrade in the iPad realm.

Just post in the other threads!

Everybody who purchase iPad Pro and were disappointed with WWDC 2024 any regret and you plan to return it ?

I do not know a single person who’d buy a computer with the expectation that what it can do right now is insufficient for them but with the hope of a fix somewhere down the line. But then, there’s a return window for those who don’t understand what an iPad can do.

No, I bought the iPad for the new hardware, which for me at least was a nice upgrade from M1, which I used daily for 3 years.

i think the Home Screen customisation, the math notes integration in the notes app and some of the ”Apple Intelligence“ stuff could be useful. basically, I’m always happy with any updates, regardless how incremental

personally, I don’t buy hardware based on what might come, but based on what I like or need

I was debtating on buying one before WWDC and then I thought, nah, lets wait and see if they drop anything crazy. They did not.

It is an incredible piece of hardware though and I do find myself wanting an iPad these days, so maybe I'll wait till it goes on sale.

I’m finally shifting my own uses and expectations with my M4 purchase. I bought the keyboard case but I also bought the folio. I returned to the 11” form factor. (When Apple release a Mac with Thunderbolt 5 capability, I’ll replace my laptop with a desktop). I have not purchased a Pencil (as usual, I’ll probably do so in a panic for a perceived need and then have it sit there for but a few minutes use per year…)

I expect this to remain my portable computer for a few years, then I’ll wind it down to being a content consumption device. I’ll only replace it when it dies or Apple releases a thinner/lighter/more comfortable model and/or one with a superior screen (that will become difficult without microLED; this OLED is gorgeous…)

13 inch M4 iPad Pro 1 TB with MKB and Pencil Pro purchased with absolutely no thought about what might come from WWDC. Purchased because of improved responsivity, great screen, thin and light form factor. Very happy with purchase. No intention of returning.

Only a fool or an AAPL newbie would buy a device on the expectation of unannounced features. Doing so is a formula for disappointment.

I'm on the fence. I love the hardware but really don't need it since I have an M3 Pro MacBook Pro and an iPhone 15 Pro.

The OLED is amazing but I'm not an artist or creative professional and it's a lot of money for a device to just browse the web and consume media (which both my phone and Mac do just fine).

I bought it with the intention to use it for the features it already has. Did I want improvements I didn’t get? Yep! I was really hoping for full screen games with stage manager and native Mac app support, but I didn’t buy my M4 iPad in expectation that I’d get them.

I did return it, but exchanged it for a 1TB iPad Air before WWDC. Same uses (for me), but half the cost. I do miss FaceID though. But WWDC has no impact for me, I wasn't expecting anything to begin with.
