You quoted the OP and I. The OP was simply asking the question and I said nothing about buying the new iPad based on promises or wishes, I stated I'm returning it because Apple public showed during WWDC they felt there was no need to even improve the current software in the questionable state that it's in. I'm not returning the iPad because of what it can and cannot currently do, I'm returning the iPad because I see the writing on the wall now more than ever due to how extreme the IPP hardware currently is. Call it an awakening or whatever but I'm voting with my wallet and no longer settling for excuses and games from a trillion dollar company. You want a "Pro" device that can't even process a file transfer in the background for $1500+...cool, but they priced themselves out of the market this year and they're going to feel it.
Which M4 do you have?

Yup, that's exactly what I said but in slightly different words.

This thread is a bit sad but at the same time, there's something really good : The Apple Refurbished Store section will eventually have quite a lot of M4 iPad Pros :)

No. Loving the 11" with Magic Keyboard. This thing replaces my laptop for almost everything I do, and I couldn't be happier pre or post WWDC.

Unfortunately, unless their policy changes, Apple seems to only release up to the previous generation in the refurb store for iPads. :-/ (There are currently no M2s available, but I'm expecting them soon. Apple just released M3 Airs in the refurb store, so there's no consistent policy.)

Different policy for Macs and for iPhones/iPads. For the latter, they usually only have previous gen available. The exception being Mini since that's updated less often.

Nope, my iPad still works the way it did the day I purchased it.. WWDC didn’t change that at all. I purchase devices based on what they can do, not on what they might be able to do later.

Nope. I bought it for its current capabilities. It would have been nice to have a new iPadOS but I kind of suspected a major AI push, Apple is a business after all and even though I'm not really excited about AI stuff I can tell many other consumers are.

I returned my M4 11. I honestly loved the hardware a lot, but just couldn't justify keeping it when my primary use for it was just web browsing/videos. Coupled with the lackluster WWDC announcements, most of which will be on iOS/iPhone anyway, didn't feel it was necessary to keep it. Hopefully, someone can get a nice discount via my return 😁

I purchased an M1 iPad Air at half the price at launch 2022 (Marketplace reseller here 🤪) and sold it at a healthy profit a month before iPad M4 was announced.

I then bought an M1 iPad Pro 11 combo just before WWDC as the hype was growing, which led many sell their iPads at ridiculous prices.

I then came across a seller who let go of his M4 at the price of a used M2 (glad to help out the fellow with his finances). Found out it was even the cellular version 🤪

Then I sold the M1 iPad after WWDC I think, when the hype of M4 had died down but not the prices, cementing iPad Pro M1 as a financially healthy alternative to the M4. Made another healthy profit there.

Altogether, I basically replaced my old iPad while making some profit.

TLDR: No regrets 🤣

The open box ipad m4's are piling up here at my Best Buys. Can't wait until they put them on a liquidation sale.

Anecdotal FUD as usual. Tons of things get returned at best buy, new tech gadgets typically more than older ones.

Everybody who purchase iPad Pro and were disappointed with WWDC 2024 any regret and you plan to return it ?
I was hoping they would start utilizing more processing power and making it easier for me to use this device with my work which is really a lot of jumping around between SharePoint power BBI proposal apps and etc., at work, Microsoft Office product teams, communicating, etc. My goal was to eliminate carrying around my heavy windows, laptop, or my MacBook Pro. For the first time I bought the keyboard I also bought a pencil which I’ve yet to even use, but I’ve now spent three weeks with this set up and every time I get into something critical all of the backwards motion, I have to go through to take the Adobe acrobat document And store it in folder in my Microsoft OneDrive, etc., is so painfully convoluted and saying how are they effing up over and over. I decided to use Best Buy for this experimental. Because I currently have 60 day return privileges. After a couple of days this week, where I literally had to just slam the thing shut and go find either one of my laptops to finish what I was doing. I realize I won’t be keeping this thing. My brain feels like knowing Apple knows what to do with this device. If it’s going to be consumption And drawing the overkill and the price is ridiculous. The 13 inch was cellular and 512 the keyboard and pencil for $2500 for crying out loud. It feels like a $500 dollar product to me.
