lol at anyone returning their iPad after WWDC.
Apple has said multiple times that the iPad will not be a Mac.
So you shouldn't expect it.
An Apple VP, while discussing MacOS for iPads, also said - and I quote: "we've changed our minds before."

Ha. Thanks. I don't think I really need encouragement to spend more money. If any store within 100 miles had a nano texture glass one, I might impulse buy. Until then, I can wait a bit. Want to read the Surface Pro and ROG Ally X reviews before I make any more big purchases.Do it!
Can I ask how much you got for it? I’m also considering selling mine as I don’t use it anymore. That’s an emphatic NO! Love the 13’ M4, only returning to swap for the Silver. I upgraded from an M1 12.9, which I sold 2wks ago!
Nope, it does everything it was advertised when I bought it, it does even more After the update.Everybody who purchase iPad Pro and were disappointed with WWDC 2024 any regret and you plan to return it ?
Can I ask how the old one died? That's pretty unusual! No. I needed to replace a dead 12.9" iPad Pro – so it was like for like. The screen is amazing!
Why didnt you go for the M2 iPad Pro instead? You keep Face ID and pro motion, but you lose the ability to use the new Apple Pencil pro and the location of the FaceTime camera.I did return it, but exchanged it for a 1TB iPad Air before WWDC. Same uses (for me), but half the cost. I do miss FaceID though. But WWDC has no impact for me, I wasn't expecting anything to begin with.

Why are y'all buying tech based on some wishes and unpromised future updates instead of whether it does what you want/need it to do when you place the order? This is a recipe for perpetual disappointment.Yes because it finally showed me how much Apple doesn’t care about iPadOS. The iPad received nothing unique, even the calculator can be used on iPhone.
Tired of support the iPad lineup with disappointing releases of the Mini 6 and the continuously overpowered and underperforming IPP. Apple didn’t even bother fixing current iPadOS limitations let alone add anything worthwhile.
i've already stated that I am content with my M4 iPad Pro 13 inch and I don't want my iPad to be a Mac.Apple has said multiple times that the iPad will not be a Mac.

Bingo.i've already stated that I am content with my M4 iPad Pro 13 inch and I don't want my iPad to be a Mac.
However, I really would appreciate more Mac-like windows management and file management features. Stage Manager is a kludgy mess and Files is a joke. Devices this expensive billed as “Pro” should have software that enhance utility not impede it.

You’re inferring, nothing you quoted said anything about that. Why are y'all buying tech based on some wishes and unpromised future updates instead of whether it does what you want/need it to do when you place the order? This is a recipe for perpetual disappointment.
So why might someone feel regret about their newly bought iPad specifically after watching the keynote if not for the lack of feature they hoped would be announced? It seems pretty clear to me that that's what it's saying, but if there's another reason that someone might buy an iPad knowing full well what it does and weeks later get disappointed enough to return it, conveniently after a set of updates was announced, I'm all ears. You’re inferring, nothing you quoted said anything about that.
You quoted the OP and I. The OP was simply asking the question and I said nothing about buying the new iPad based on promises or wishes, I stated I'm returning it because Apple public showed during WWDC they felt there was no need to even improve the current software in the questionable state that it's in. I'm not returning the iPad because of what it can and cannot currently do, I'm returning the iPad because I see the writing on the wall now more than ever due to how extreme the IPP hardware currently is. Call it an awakening or whatever but I'm voting with my wallet and no longer settling for excuses and games from a trillion dollar company. You want a "Pro" device that can't even process a file transfer in the background for $1500+...cool, but they priced themselves out of the market this year and they're going to feel it.So why might someone feel regret about their newly bought iPad specifically after watching the keynote if not for the lack of feature they hoped would be announced?
