I love my Spotify but it's a huge battery drain on my iPhone (10-15% per hour). If Apple Music is better integrated and less battery intensive, I know I'll be switching!
 
I don't stream any music. Like, at all. Why bother with it when I can have it locally at no cost? Besides, my current music collection doesn't have a lot of music. It would be a waste of my money.

If Apple can make it available in Singapore, I will definitely give it a try. Currently a Spotify user.

I don't follow. Have it locally at no cost? Also, how does the small size of your music collection make it less valuable? If anything, I think a streaming service is less worthwhile for people with very large libraries.

If they match Spotify's student pricing, then maybe, but I doubt that's going to happen.

I'd like it for deeper integration in iOS and I presume the Apple Watch, but Spotify does a good job at the moment and it would take a service which has the same or larger library for the same price to tempt me to switch.

One of the things that may keep me away from switching to Apple Music completely is the possible lack of Last.fm integration. I'm an avid Last.fm user and I like racking up my play count whenever I use Spotify.

My current $4.99 rate for the premium subscription is another reason I likely won't be switching.
 
no cuz Spotify has a deal with T-Mobile in Germany so its data traffic isnt being added to my 3GB data volume. that alone will keep me on Spotify.

I have to agree with the OP on the battery drain however. Spotify sucks it empty like a h
 
I voted no, but I'm on the fence about this, simply because I can't see Apple Music being extensive enough in the UK, if existing at all. Whereas the UK was one of the first countries to get Spotify!
 
I hate the spotify app but apart from that the streaming itself is pretty decent. Collaborative playlists are really fun with friends and the new running thing is kinda cool, but honestly it wouldn't take much to win me over to the apple's service if it means I can use the stock app/iTunes 12
 
If they offer a free (ad supported) version like Spotify then yes. Spotify does many things that irritate me (the notifications that you can't disable so my Dock icon always has a badge count and in general the GUI.

Though once I pick a playlist and hit play, I don't really care about what's behind the scenes.
 
If they can match the $4.99 student pricing of Spotify, no question. Otherwise I might hold out (only a student for another year). A tipping point could be a really solid Apple Watch experience, that has been thus far a pain point with using Spotify.

I will probably switch either way, but I really hope they integrate it seamlessly with music I have bought. I use Rdio, and I like it for the most part. One thing that annoys me is that it buffers A LOT mid song (3-5 seconds several times each song) whenever I am air playing to an Apple TV.
 
I love spotify and got 2 years free on my mobile phone contract with Vodafone UK. Maybe once my 2 years is up I'll switch
 
Needs offline mode, and the social component Spotify has also must be there.
I run with my Apple Watch and I would like to be able to sync my Apple Music to it, Spotify cannot do this.

I also only pay $4.99 a month for Spotify and I do like the app a lot.

I will defiantly try out the free 3 month trial!

I will try it out but it needs some things for me to keep subscribing. First off, it needs to blend iTunes Match into the streamingr service so I can upload my own music alongside the streaming catalog. This is why I currently use Google Music. I hate when these streaming services remove albums randomly so I like to fill in gaps with my own music. Secondly, it needs to have some sort of social aspect. I like how in Spotify and Rdio you can follow friends and share playlists. Plus there are tons of public playlists for all sorts of situations. Apple Music also has to have really good radio algorithms. It needs to be cross platform so I can listen to my music on my windows PC as well as my MacBook Air and iPhone. Hopefully they don't just shove it inside the already bloated iTunes and the buggy mess that is iTunes for windows. The app on mobile needs to be extremely nice. I don't have high hopes for this. It took them a couple years to finally smooth out the music app which was garbage since iOS 7. I don't like Spotify's app. It's too annoying to try to drill down into my collection and view artist and album. Google Musics app is also pretty poorly designed. Everything is big and takes up a lot of space. Rdio is actually my favorite when it comes to the iOS app. If Apple can offer a $5 a month student pricing like Spotify it would help immensely. I don't see this happening either.
 
I love my Spotify, but with my huge playlists I doubt they'll be movable.
Not to mention the Spotify playlists that are shown for that day and time - that's awesome.

Apple will have to most certainly blow up the category to get a significant move of Spotify users.

I'm in the "local library" camp. I sometimes use Pandora to discover new music, but then I end up buying it (CD or iTunes) and storing it locally. It's unlikely that I'll subscribe to Apple Music.

Judging by the lack of updates of any kind to Match since 2012, I think it will remain isolated from the music service.

I pay for it because I have 23,000 local songs and I need to be able to access them anywhere. But I am actually pretty disappointed with how Apple has ignored Match - it needs a lot of bug fixes in the iTunes department.

I just started Spotify premium and love the integration with my PS4. iTunes Match and iTunes Radio suck and the streaming leaves a lot to be desired. I doubt it will seriously compete with Spotify right out the gate. I definitely won't be a early subscriber
