No - really have no interest in "new" music or new artists. I have a limited music collection that I own and have on my Apple devices. Again, maybe I'm just not that into music but at the same price what advantage does this really have over things such as XM/Sirius type of subscription - ok that is by music type but also includes a whole bunch of other stuff.
I also wonder how much any of this will increase data usage and thus cost more money.

So it is a No for me.

No. I want full ownership and control over my music. I do not see the value in paying $9.99 a month for music that I cannot keep and must continue to pay to listen to.

The main thing I will say is that if I can siri a lot of this , I am happy. I can just get into my car and tell siri what to play... I'm happy with this.

No. The music app is bad. Since ios7 artist > albums view has all the music expanded in chronological order which is annoying having to scroll to the song I want.

Most music streaming services let you save music offline while you're connected to wifi so when you're out and about you don't need to worry about data. Haven't used a single byte of data with spotify so far since I just turned on 'Make available offline' for my saved music.

It's twice as much as Spotify so I'll have to give it some thought. If I can find some family members to split it with though, it might be worth it.

Well that takes care of one part of it - but not the Radio, for instance - I can't imagine that they will let you save the radio shows but who knows.
Plus a lot of what I thought they were pushing was new artists etc. I guess it can make selections for you and save it on your device but that isn't what I got from the announcement.
I guess more time and more information will let us know for fact.

there is a setting that fixed that for me, not sure where that was though

Is this setting in 8.4 beta to or just ios 9 beta? Can you post a screenshot of the artist albums view please? Thanks

Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio all free and have "premium" options that are cheaper then AppleMusic. I don't listen to music much, why would I suddenly start. And Ping2.0 doesn't bring me over either. As long as the local library stuff still works, whatever.

If it ever makes it way to the UK I will give it a go just merely for the integration. I pay £9.99 for Spotify so if it is at that price I won't be losing out on anything to give it a shot

I'll try it for the 3 months, but won't even consider switching if they don't offer a 50% student discount like that of Spotify.

One of the things that may keep me away from switching to Apple Music completely is the possible lack of Last.fm integration. I'm an avid Last.fm user and I like racking up my play count whenever I use Spotify.

My current $4.99 rate for the premium subscription is another reason I likely won't be switching.

Same here! I can not switch unless the integrate Last.fm. I want to use Apple Music, but that and the fact that I can't get playlists to sync between my desktop iTunes and my iPhone iTunes is a big problem and deal breaker. I hope they fix it because I wouldn't mind switching.

I switched from Spotify. So far I am about as happy as I was with Spotify--suites the way I listen to music I stream. Listing to A-List Rock playlist now. One playlist I hope they do add is new music but not a deal breaker. AM is not my only source of streaming--use Pandora and Sirius as well. But plan to keep AM.

I love my Spotify but it's a huge battery drain on my iPhone (10-15% per hour). If Apple Music is better integrated and less battery intensive, I know I'll be switching!

I would think anything integrated is always going to be better for battery than something u need an app for, simply because Apple knows it battery.

I prefer live radio.

I hate to agree with u, but i have also found myself listening online to to local radio, however i like to have a method for discovery. I guess Youtube could fill that gap.

No. I'm staying with iTunes Radio. I 8.4 on one of my iPhones and didn't like what they did with the music app and went back to 8.3. I also haven't upgraded any of my Macs so that I can continue listening to iTunes Match just as I always have been. I have the unlimited skips mod on my iPad/iPhones and I wouldn't give that up for anything.

As far as live radio goes, I have XM in my car and iPad/iPhones.

I had never tried a music streaming service before Apple Music and only tried it because of the free trial.

I used to have the same songs, albums on my iPhone and admittedly after a while I got a bit fed up with them and struggled to find something new to listen to.

After a week of trying Apple Music, I realised just how useful it was, always having something new to listen to, finding new music that I like that I wouldn’t have been aware of without Apple Music. I’m also really enjoying the featured radio stations too and numerous other things that are too many to list. Beats 1 I find its hit and miss, sometimes I find something good to listen too. I really like the interviews with artists on Beat 1 (listened to Ellie Goulding on there on replay last night and enjoyed it).

Also the integration with the music app I really like. Admittedly Apple Music needs some bugs/issues ironed out, but for me I am prepared to put up with these as there are far more pros than cons.

I like a lot of what Apple Music brings to the table. I just ran down my Spotify sub a couple weeks ago, and wanted to give Apple Music a shot at stealing me away. They need to streamline the interface a lot and get rid of the bugs.

I also decided to try Google Music again since I'm shopping around anyway, and right now Google is winning me over. It has music that neither Spotify or Apple Music have. I also like the insanely easy way to add my own albums that might be missing from the streaming catalog (just drag tracks from Finder into Chrome... Done!)

Y'all are really making me want to check out Google Music. While Apple Music gets mixed reactions and people complain about Spotify's interface (which I like myself) I am yet to see a single negative review of Google Music. Hmm. I'll look into it.

My hopes for Apple to figure out all the errors with AM are diminishing. We're halfway through the free developer beta test... I mean trial period and it doesn't seem like a lot has actually changed with the iOS/iTunes updates.

I felt like Apple Music worked very well for me at first, though seemed to be missing a few things. But it's gotten worse over time instead of better.

Pretty much the only thing with Google Music, coming from Apple Music, that I miss, is the For You section.

I really do appreciate the hand picked feel of a ton of records and playlists layed out for me. Definitely is a nice thing when I'm not sure what music I'm in the mood for. I do admit the, the longer I've been with AM, I'm seeing suggestions in For You beginning to repeat and get a little redundant. It might continue to lose its novelty over time.

Other than that though, Google Music is hitting all the marks for me. The easily adding you own music to the streaming catalog thing is a godsend. For example, I just dragged in every Beatles album from Finder on my Mac into Chrome at music.google.com. Now my Beatles catalog is streamable alongside all my other music without having to be stored locally. There's also the ability to access Google Music from any Web browser, which is pretty huge for me. Being able to quickly choose Go To Artist or Go to Album (like Spotify) is also a huge advantage for getting around swiftly.

I haven't lost all hope for Apple Music, but the more that time passes, the less I'm caring if it does improve.

I am yet to see a single negative review of Google Music.

The Google Music app doesn't get very highly rated in the App Store. Whether this is more about the app and or the Google Music service then I'm not sure.
