Where is the poll option for Mac users who cant update? I would love to update my iPad Air 2 to 8.1.1 as I'm having keyboard issues... but sadly I don't have access to a windows pc.:(

Have Taig ever released a Mac tool for jailbreaking? and has anyone heard if they are working on one?

nope, probably have to use a virtual pc for now.

As far as I can tell, all WiFried does is do an ifconfig awdl0 down command-line equivalent, which I've already done manually.

OK, I'll bite - I've never done it before, but I've seen people post about having done OTA upgrades of minor dot-dot releases before. Is this not possible because I'm already on a jailbroken 8.1? Or, to put it another way - are the only people who've ever been able to do OTA upgrades people who hadn't jailbroken their iDevice(s)?

(I recall evasi0n7 disabling the OTA update facility in Settings ... and the PanGu folks saying "The firmware upgraded via OTA affects Pangu 8 a lot and usually causes Pangu 8 to fail.", so that's probably not a good omen.)

Please followup here (if you think of it) if going to 8.1.1 fixes the WiFi issue (or either one, for that matter) for you. Thanks.

8.1.1 does not fix the WiFi issues. You have to use WiFried. Make sure to turn on Airdrop, then choose WiFred/off and reboot. It works! My WiFi issue is fixed. My iPhone 5S is now running snappier in general.

----------

After installing WiFried Im so satisfied on 8.1 that I'm skipping 8.1.1 altogether.

Waiting for 8.2+.

I'd have no qualms about using Taig.

after Musclenerd tweeted it's safe, I jumped the gun on rMini and 6+

pain but whatever, I've set up iphones jailbroke and config'd from scratch too many times to remember over the course of 7 years of jailbreaking :D

whats one more?

whats a good CC toggle tweak compatible with iOS 8 now that i'm not using pangu app for respring/reboot ?

Is it worth to upgrade my 4s from 7.1.2 to 8.1.1 and Jb?

If you're fine with how your device works and there's not much in iOS 8 that you find would be beneficial to you, just stick with the setup you have now

Or if you want to try out iOS 8, see if the tweaks you use are updated for iOS 8 compatibility

For me, I stayed on iOS 7 because biteSMS, background manager, and lockinfo don't work on iOS 8

yes it is worth it, several performance improvements, especially for older devices like the 4s

yes it does! WiFried tweak was modeled after the 8.1.1 wifi fixes.

"I’ve confirmed this severe WiFi degradation issue still occurs on iOS 8.1.1 and OSX 10.10.1. This is not fixed."

I tend to trust the author.

Many people on reddit are claiming when they updated to 8.1.1, wiFried is no longer needed. Im sure it's subjective

updated to 8.1.1 and used taig instead. so much faster and the phone feels much better. no more pangu icon

Has anyone used 1.0.2 of Taig yet? What has changed? Thinking about updating to 8.1.1 but I've seen quite a few people say Taig in was working well, just not what version they used.

It fixed my wifi issues on my rMini.

Pretty happy.

I'll probably pull the trigger once a Mac version is out. Not enough new to make it worth actively seeking out a Windows machine right now.
