Looks like some major issues with the iPad Pro

"iPad Pro owners across the world have been reporting a serious bug that appears to affect all models of the device. Users have taken to the Apple Support Communities forum, saying that after charging their iPad Pros overnight, or for a number hours, they return to find the device unresponsive and the screen completely black."

I'm not sure how needing to reboot once or twice a week, an issue that clearly is a software glitch, constitutes a "major issue".

I thought it said it was freezing after a full charge? Did you read the article? There is also a thread in the iPad section here on MR with early adopters having the same issue.

More like having to reboot it once a day if battery life is about 9 hours. Apple is now the old Windows.

It's only affecting some users and it doesn't happen every time the iPad is charged to full. The latest iOS 9.2 beta 3 seems to fix it for many anyway. A major issue would be if they didn't respond at all (ie. Didn't come back on at all). This is just a relative blip by comparison.

speaking of the note 12.2

wonder why they decided to get rid of it?

I had note 10.1 (2014) edition. S Pen was awesome to use on a tablet, but I sold mine after 2 months of usage. Simply too heavy for a tablet, completely lacking 3rd party apps, and the lag was killing me.

I don't think samsung can make a good tablet, mostly coz developers aren't even remotely interested in creating apps for android tablets. Compare android tablet apps vs iPad apps, and you will se what I am talking about.

I use android phones all the time, but not even considering buying any android tablet anymore.

So a reboot, within the first week, which will obviously be taken care of with a .01 update.....please explain again how this is a major issue?

If the reports are correct, then it is everyday. I have my ipad air plugged it overnight when not using it. If people do that with the IPP then it will require a reboot.

I am sure Apple has a software update ready to be pushed out soon to fix the issue.

Nearly identical to my experience as well, except I only made it 30 days. The hardware was nice but software was wonky and inconsistent, third party support was anemic and the Android tablet ecosystem in general was pretty mediocre.

I do quite a bit of work on my iPad Air 2, more so than most I suppose, but I'm fighting the urge to get one now and will wait for the next iteration of the iPad Pro before seeing if it can find a meaningful place in my daily workflow.

A note tablet user making negative comments on other tablets especially the best tablet maker? lol............

All note tablets arnt worth using even as coasters. Surprised you havent binned it and took it as an expensive lesson. I couldn't believe how bad they were when I had them.

Nexuses were poor but Samsung brought Android tablets to another low level. Thank god there is Sony.

That's why most people carry a phone rather than a 12.2" tablet !
There was one time when I forgot my phone at home and was able to make a call on my iPad. I haven't renewed the iPads data plan in months now because I don't need it. Just glad I had the iPad with me at the time and the plan was activated.

It's great with the Verizon messages app, I know what you mean. I can make a wifi call on my iPad if I leave my iPhone at home.
