This is so stupid. I wear maybe 3 different shirts and 2 diff jeans during my work week. Does that make me Zen?

I want his outfit but can not afford it. LOL the actual cost of his clothes from what I have read is more than I am willing to part with. Looks good though

He looked like a fool at the whitehouse where everyone had a suit and he showed up with his turtle neck uniform. I don't know anyone who wears the same outfit every day that's just disgusting. People are probably afraid to tell him he smells and looks stupid.

Since he is wearing the same set of clothes since 2001, it is obvious that these are clothes specially manufactured for him that are just undestructable. Since nobody else wears undestructable clothes, we can safely assume that they are not only undestructable, but also one hundred percent dirt repellent. There is no smell.

(A more likely explanation is that he has an employee who takes care that there are a dozen freshly washed jeans and a dozen freshly washed turtle neck jumpers in Steve Jobs' wardrobe at any given time, together with freshly washed underwear and socks and freshly cleaned shoes, with worn out clothes regularly replaced by new ones).

Of course your interpretation that Steve Jobs looked "like a fool" is completely off the mark. If a man goes to the White House, the centre of power in the USA, and wears the clothes he likes to wear, not the clothes he is expected to wear by some minions, that just shows ultimate self confidence. This was business, not a social meeting.

Steve Jobs' wardrobe

I think for Steve it is a matter of comfort. Instead of wearing a fancy shirt / tie / jacket combination, he prefers to come out in more comfortable clothing. He comes across as a normal person as opposed to a corporate executive who is trying to get you to buy the latest gadget.

I do believe that if he ever did a presentation where he wore another set of clothing, I think people would begin to question why he did so and if there is some sort of significance as to why he did not go with his usual combination.

In every event I've seen with Steve Jobs, he's always wearing a black turtle neck shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and white shoes with white socks. I've watched many many videos, and everyone that I've seen, has him wearing the same thing. Even since his 2001 announcement of the first iPod, he was wearing that. Is this all he has? I mean really, go out and watch some of the event videos, and look at his clothes. My mom noticed this at the announcement of the iPad, when I showed her an iPhone event video a few minutes before. I think its really strange.

Brand identity. :)

A marketer is going to keep up brand identity. If you changed your logo or look every 4 minutes, you as a customer would get confused as well. :)

I think his wardrobe goes well with the products... minimalist and they all look the same and have for many years now. He also probably has about 365 black turtlenecks and 365 pairs of jeans, and someone at Levi's who stone washes each pair to his exact specifications... it's like that movie 9 1/2 weeks when Kim Basinger opens up the guy's closet to find an endless row of identical suits.

The outfit is made in China from material left over from constructing the suicide nets on Foxcon's barracks. It only comes in black, as you would expect.
