I just put up a HD gameplay video, since there's no demo. It's a pretty fun racing game. It really makes GTS World Racing puny in comparison. Good luck getting past the first race, though, it took me 8 tries.

The install failed for me :(. Just got crashes. Time to reinstall . Just gotta use the phone app store because iTunes keeps beach-balling. Just my luck :D.

I still think our expectations are automatically lowered when it comes to games on a phone, but I bought this and the graphics, framerate and overall gameplay are pretty decent. Still feels like 1999 graphics, but again, it's a phone game, which are understandably about 10 years behind.

I was surprised to see game terms like "road rage" and "take down". Is this game from the same people as the Burnout series?

Why is this "fail"? Sorry for the rude awakening, but MOST games don't come with demos. Even renting a console game at Blockbuster or whatever costs money. It's really not right to judge a game's value before you play it...for all we know, this game could worth 10x its cost, or a tenth of the cost. But judging from how large the app is in terms of MB, and how good the graphics look, i'd say it's easily worth $10 if it plays even anywhere near how it looks.

Are you joking? I can download demos for just about every Xbox 360 game over Xbox Live. I can download demos for just about every PC game.

The barrier for entry to develop games on those platforms are much higher, too. Which means bigger development teams involved, more resources and time available to create a demo. Not the case with the iPhone, which allows a single person to create the most basic game and sell it in the App Store. Most of them are amateurs or doing it as a hobby, not actual professional development studios.

But I do agree that the professional development studios from developers such as the one that worked on Asphalt 4 should make it in their best interest to release a demo for their games. The only reason why they shouldn't is if they don't think their game is that great and fear that a demo would lose them sales. Otherwise, it'll benefit them financially.

Nice game but very dated. I hope the iphone game scene can actually push some boundaries eventually.

I gotta agree with that....very dated. They could have done much better...pretty disappointing.

Not as impressive as everyone makes it out to be.

I'm gonna hold off a little longer and see some more reviews/opinions. It looks great but......

But the infrastructure of iTunes easily allows demos. I don't care if it looks good because a screenshot won't tell me:
- if it runs at 10 frames per second
- if it crashes every 5 minutes
- if the controls are any good

Any of these 3 problems is a deal breaker. As you say, it's not right to judge a game's value before I play it. And a screenshot can't be played, unlike a demo version. ;)

wait until the "newness" wears off, and you'll get accurate reviews. As mentioned above...it's seriously dated, and not a whole lot of fun to be honest....but that's just my opinion. The "Pit Girls" make it even worse...freakin terrible graphics and incorporation.

I have just manage to upload few minutes of video of this game being played. Sorry for quality but I thought I will share at least that.

Its nice game with good graphics, but I need more time to crack it. Online multiplayer not working/responding at this moment tho, but lets give them time. I think its worth £5.99
:apple::apple::apple:

The one negative comment that I can understand so far is "dated". That's exactly the only negative side of the game I can find, and the one that may keep me from buying it, at least before Undercover.

dam it, apple please for the love of god fix these small problems and update to 32 gig so i can start spending money on all these awesome apps! :p

I like it, it looks great for a mobile game, but I find the screen tap controls really fiddly. Would much prefer tilt control.

Also, I'd prefer simpler graphics if they could get the frame rate up a bit. I reckon the frame rate makes the biggest difference to a game feeling high quality.

For all you guys saying the game is 'dated' - to what standards of comparison are you basing that judgement on, especially when it comes to mobile phone games? Are you expecting realistic 3D graphics and 60 fps? I don't know the graphical limits of the iPhone, but it really can't be that much farther off from this game...

During a race, on the top left corner you'll see an icon with an arrow/fingertip, tap it to bring up the menu where you can drive with the accelerometer, a steering wheel, or the default tap to turn.
