I’m sorry, I know how you feel, mine is still showing arrived in Indianapolis, and I have been sitting here refreshing tracking like crazy and reading the forum, lol. I think there’s a possibility we may get it tomorrow. I had a few items I purchased from simply mac a week ago and were supposed to be delivered overnight on Friday by FedEx, and because they didn’t arrive on Friday, they ended up delivering them on Saturday. I’m hopeful we may get ours tomorrow, fingers crossed. I have my brand new white magic keyboard that FedEx delivered today and no iPad Pro to put it in

I hope you get yours soon!! Maybe they haven’t updated yours yet

What a day! I got mine around 3:30 p.m. It taking about 1.5 hours to transfer data from my 2018 to the 2021.

It was on the truck around 8:00 a.m. But at 10:30 a.m. a FedEx truck screamed by my house. It didn't stop  As I live at the beginning of a dead end, it came rushing back by again. No joy:p

Then later someone with a similar colored cap and shirt that FedEx employees wear was on my sidewalk. Nope, just a civilian out for a walk! I know, I know, get a life!

Finally as I was walking my doggie in the back yard, and saw a glimpse of the truck between houses. Bingo!!!

Cant you just sign up for service from the iPad? Go to setting, Cellular and it should give you the option to activate service on the iPad.

Yes and if anyone has issues doing it that way you can just chat into AT&T with your IMEI and CSN from Settings > General > About, just tap on it to copy the number for the chat. They can activate it but may try to direct you to a website that won’t work, just ask them to activate it. No need for a physical SIM card. Same thing can be done in the store if needed but you may need to go to a corporate store.

I had to do this to activate my 12.9 iPad Pro 128gb. It just wouldn’t connect to cellular, only WiFi. In a few minutes with ATT chat it was activated and up and running.

I had to do the same thing and ended up chatting with 3 different AT&T people, and then finally had to have a tech call me. They all were wondering if I bought the iPad from Apple, and I had to repeat multiple times that I got it from AT&T, which they should have known. Something must have been wrong with their system, to not have the new device associated with the account AND able to add the line. I know it didn’t happen this way in the past. Maybe the new eSIM caused some issue?

It should work that way - even on pre-order, they assign you a phone number already. It should have the ICCID, IMEI etc already associated.

My 11 iPad Pro 128gb didn’t have the same problem. It could be the eSim that caused the issue with the 12.9 iPad Pro but the ATT chat rep didn’t mention it. I agree, in the past it wasn’t this way. Hopefully they helped you and you got the device working on their network.

With the FedEx fiasco on Friday at Indianapolis I still don’t have my iPad Pro ???. They claim it was a mechanical delay and mine made it to Memphis TN later in the day on Friday, so I figured Friday night it would move and I would get it today since a similar thing happened with an overnight order I had (same situation but that time stuck in Memphis TN), but no luck. I live in the northeast and it was wishful thinking that they would deliver today so I’m hoping it at least comes Monday. Anybody else sharing in my despair of not getting their iPad Pro yet and waiting on delivery from AT&T that was supposed to arrive Friday?

Yeah, they got it to work eventually. I should have complained when they said I needed to agree to the $30 new line set up fee. Maybe I’ll go back and ask them to credit me given the hassle.

My wife’s new Pro didn’t activate either. Will have to call customer service tomorrow. Wonder why this is happening to so many of us.

Don't feel bad - I still haven't even begun precessing yet, despite ordering it before others who got them already did.

At this point I get the feeling we don't see a shipping notice until the 28th.... I can still cancel the order... ughhh come on ATT.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, after all the drama, but I cancelled the order. I just realized how freakin' useful the iPad Mini 5th gen I have is. I wanted a bigger iPhone, not a laptop replacement, and that is what the Pro really is - especially the 12.9. *IF* I get a Pro, I'll probably get the 11, which is a little more "tablet-able".

I feel yea and I don't blame you... the wait is a little ridiculous. I'm hanging in there as I have an air 1st gen (2013) that is awful to use and all of the sizes below 12.9 feel like a sidegrade. I saw the 11 inch in 2018 when I helped shop for my father while he loves his, I want more screen. Kinda like when I went from a nexus 7 to an air that was one heck of a jump.
