ATT enchances 3G networks

Still no 3G here in Auburn, AL. They said August 3rd and we still don't have it. God AT&T is terrible. 
I have great 3G coverage in SoCal, specifically, around Long Beach and north OC. They're still improving it, though. Huntington Beach went from one or two bars to full since January.
No, that's terrible. Also, I think that has nothing to do with the OP (upgrading service).
Actually a lot of the country has been seeing results that are half of what they were seeing several weeks ago. IDK why.
Hey that's ok for us here in New Jersey on the East Coast, even the turtles from Comcast are faster then our 3G
90% of the time I am connected to the internet via WiFi so it doesn't hurt me that much, but it would be nice to have higher upload/download speeds
Currently I get the following running SpeedTest from my Phone with WiFi OFF and Full Bars on 3G from home
968kbps Download
303kbps Upload

since the sudden downpour and thunderstorm Tuesday night, im having intermittent signal here in my area in jersey city. sometimes on edge, 3g and worst no service at all. been in contact with att people and they said they are working on a tower near my area affected by the bad weather. for now im stuck with a shiny 3gs with an unreliable network. (no resolution expected...case still open)

While you guys are getting upgraded 3G, here in Seneca Falls, NY, the EDGE-only network doesn't even work! Says "E" with full bars, but 95% of the time, no data. Hooray AT&T!
Same here in the Cortland, NY area, edge stinks. 20 miles North, 18 miles Southwest, and 35 miles South all have 3G.
Meh, if you're in a fringe area, AT&T's coverage has been known to decrease. In one recent US case, AT&T had some kind of roaming agreement with T-Mobile, for a certain area, but didn't renew it or somesuch. Result: no more coverage for AT&T users in that area.
Well I have noticed with my wife's BlueBerry Curve on Verizon she is getting dead spots lately and sometimes when she has no bars I have full bars with 3G.
I think it truly depends on where you live, I know that HudsonCrossing was having trouble in Jersey and my wife works in Jersey City and the folks in her office with AT&T rarely get a good signal to make a call, according to my wife they walk around the building until they can find a signal.
It is a wonderful thing how we get suckered into buying all this technology then you have to figure it out on your own, and when things dont work the people we pay for the service get to just say "it is what it is" and we go along on our merry own way of acceptance and the fact there is absolutely nothing we can do....Have a Nice Weekend All Smile it could be worse if Apple never invented the iPhone....

Haha, it would be nice though to have 3G. What sucks is the Edge network here as come to a crawl. Is their a way to find out when 3G is coming to your area? I'm just wondering if I called if they could give me a date.
The guy at the AT&T store on Opelika Rd. told me two weeks ago that it would be up on the 8th of August. So they also provide their employees really useful info or else he was just a liar and jerking me around. Ha.
When I come home and park the car 20 feet from my apartment door, I have three bars of 3G. By the time I get in my apartment (ground floor, condo style units) and look at my phone only 2 bars of E. What in the world is going on? A lot of the apartment is made of brick. Is it the walls or what?
