This almost feels like cheating

Actually, that lot of computers might not be too far off. Assuming the G5's valued from $50-$100, same goes for the late G5 or early intel iMacs...those aluminum cinema displays, if they still work, I see going for $100-$200 bucks on CL all the time. I came up with 1k conservatively (if they all work).

The cinema displays aren't worth much. Severe ghosting and discoloration on any one you'll find nowadays. The G5s might be worth something, but for everything else, I doubt will be worth $900

Sure, assuming they're even working...however...you can't just make a blanket statement like that about the cinema displays. Even at $50 bucks a pop for everything in that picture, you're around $700. Dude isn't that far off base with OBO, imo. Maybe after it rots on CL for a while poster will realize. If I was in the area and had some playing cash, I'd throw an offer I thought was reasonable.

Ok, maybe for OBO. I work for a tech salvage company and we rarely get any value out of anything that can't run El Capitan or Sierra.

We parted and recycled all of our pre-alum iMacs. We sell a small portion of Cinema displays that DON't have discoloring. The PSUs are worth a decent amount. G5s, also parted out. If the G4s have anything good, we sell that, but thats usually recycled. ADC displays are recycled. iMac G4's have their motherboard and display sold, everything else recycled.

I have no ghosting or discoloration on my 30"

That was Apple's last Alu display and mercifully free of the pink cast blighting virtually every 23" model I have ever seen, including in Apple Stores. The 2.5k resolution still has a currency even today together with its 16:10 aspect ratio although that will decline as 4k monitors become more common and their prices fall.

If the Apple monitors still have their power units then they will still fetch something as those tend to go AWOL. Much less so if it is just the monitors.

Just for info, all Apple Cinema displays here in Europe are generaly quite sought after. Prices for a 23" can be as high as 350euros /370 US dollars (I'm not saying that I'd pay that) but they do sell if functional. Even the old acrylic 15",17" and 20" show a reasonable interest in the market place, with prices ranging from 40 to 120euros /42-127 US dollars for those particular models. I paid the equivalent of 60 dollars for my 20" A1038 model about a year ago to supplement the G4 Cube - and still love it.
There's a whole big world out there beyond USA. Take a trip over one day with a truck, perhaps we can do business..... (;-)

Thanks to Apple not releasing any new display since 2011, they've actually held their value quite well. Especially the 30" 2560x1600, which remains the highest-resolution standalone Apple display.

There are much better new third-party options for the price, of course. But they lack the aesthetic value.

Well, since we're back on to this. My 23" aluminum Apple display is working perfectly. No ghosting, no discoloration, nothing but a sharp, clear picture.
