I currently use Springtomize 2 for a couple of things. One is to remove the carrier name and another is to blur the notification center.

My question is am I better off, battery wise, to use Springtomize for these two things or to use something like No Carrier Name and FastBlurredNotificationCenter.

I don't think Springtomize 2 causes battery drain, or at least not for me.

Based on what folks have said in the past, I would suspect Zephyr and IntelliscreenX would drain more battery over a day vs. NCSettings or Springtomize 2. Just my opinion.

If those are the only 2 things you use, I'd use Petrich's FastBlurred notification center (I forget the exact name but its on his repo) and no carrier name. Use Petrich's tweak if you only want the blurred effect. It's fast and lightweight.

What do you guys consider fast battery drain? How much usage do you expect to get out of a jailbroken iphone?

I use Springtomize for about 6 or 7 things actually. I was just wondering if it's better to use a a tweak for each one or to use Springtomize.

I'd stick with springtomize since it already offers those features. No need to install 2 redundant tweaks. Only do that when you feel you have no other choice. That's my advice.

Has anyone tried batter detective to see what is using the battery? I am think of buying it, but did not want to waste $2 if it does not work.

Maybe the problem is nc settings. Did you update to the latest version?

Yea I did. I have pretty much removed everything but winterboard, and intelliscreen x because these are tweaks I really want to keep. I am going to test today to see if either of them are draining the battery.

Can you keep us posted. Is there a battery drain with sbsettings?

Ok, thanks. I deleted zephyr and I'll see if that was the culprit.

Alright I got my battery life back today. So here is what I have running intelliscreen x, and winterboard with iOS 6 colorfulstatus. That is basically it. I have open notifier as well, but that never did drain battery. So I pretty much cut out everything but those 2 things and I back in business. FYI I am not running any feeds on the intelliscreen, so I would guess it would eat up battery if you have twitter, and Facebook connected. I care nothing about either so it works for me.

There's a known bug with winterboard. It's a pretty gnarly bug too. Typically bugs result in decreased battery performance. You should also try uninstalling that if you find out you still have problems. I would imagine an update will be out sooner than later.

Wow. I don't have those apps. I think my problem is zephyr. I also have bulletin installed, could it be incompatible with zephyr ?

My son has springtomize and he cannot delete it. He tried deleting while in safe mode also with no luck. Any suggestions?

I haven't noticed any noticeable decrease in battery life while using Zephyr and Winterboard. I just uninstalled Zephyr because I was sick of accidentally switching apps while trying to swipe through pictures and stuff. Its a cool tweak but one I can live without. If If I notice a increase in battery life I will post something but as of now it seems the same as before.

As for Winterboard I have gone back and forth on uninstalling and reinstalling whenever I find a theme I like. Never noticed any impact on the battery. Now that I have found Jaku and am completely satisfied with my theme Winterboard will be staying on my phone for good. My battery seems to be lasting me just as long as before the jailbreak except for the fact that I'm on my phone a lot more.

Yea I disabled side to side swiping. Just using bottom to up to close app/bring up switcher. And I also use swipeback to go back to the previous by swiping to the right. And swipeback doesn't affect swipe gestures when an app requires it and it only recognizes your swipe if you swipe from the edge of the glass. If you start swiping from the middle of the screen, it wouldn't recognize your swipe so you can swipe photos etc as per normal.
