Winterboard is infinitely more likely to have a negative impact on battery than Zephyr. In fact, not sure I notice any battery decrease with Zephyr.

Good to know, but, it's killing my battery. Could it be interacting with bulletin?

It's driving me nuts.

I feel really bad for you guys experiencing bad battery life. At the same time, this thread makes me thankful. Just got my iPhone 5 the other day, today was the first day using it. The battery life is AMAZING.

Current at 57% with 5 hours 7 minutes usage and 11 hours 25 minutes standby.

Was on LTE my whole 8 hour shift at work with three bars. In 3G at home and no service at all for almost the entire two hour drive to work. Playing music over Bluetooth in my car for my two hour round trip. Dice with buddies, Facebook, emails, texting, surfing the web, I'm actually downloading the 6.1.2 software through atomic web over 3G on my phone right now to restore my iPhone 4S because my wifi is slow as hell lol I have location services on for about six or seven apps, brightness at 40% or so. I get full use out of my phone and still have excellent battery life. But this is the honeymoon period, it's only my first day.

This phone is amazing!

By the way, these are the tweaks I have. I downloaded them all at once last night. They're the same tweaks I had on my 4s and I had great battery life on it as well.

Activator
Bitesms
Browser changer
Diet bulletin
F.lux
Lockdown pro
NCSettings
Springtomize 2

Yeah I have a lot of tweaks (no theming stuff) and my battery life is excellent.

No intelliscreenX on the phone either or BiteSMS (bloated, Messages+ with activator swipe up gesture from lock screen is sufficient. Plus TypeStatus, the free BigBoss tweak, rules [shows you when someone is typing in iMessage on Status Bar]!)

It seems the guys with the most apps have the most battery drain.
I have

Bite Sms
NC Settings
wifi analyzer
ifile
bytafont

and experience no noticeable battery drain.

nc settings has never been a problem for me ever since ive downloaded it a couple of weeks ago

iphone 5 6.1.1

I've noticed that as well. My first two years of jail breaking I had 20+ tweaks as well. I wasted too much money on tweaks I'll never use again, like infinifolders, infinidock, bigify+, gridlock, nitrous, intelliscreenx, etc. plus all the free tweaks. And lots of winter board junk. Then I would wonder why am I getting terrible battery life? Lol

Last summer I started removing everything I thought I could live without and I narrowed it down to these tweaks. I actually just installed ncsettings a few weeks ago, I was just using activator gestures to toggle wifi and Bluetooth, but ncsettings is much nicer and doesn't affect my battery anyway.

I usually have ifile installed as well, but haven't needed it for my new phone yet, so no reason to install so far.

Most likely a lot of these people could easily uninstall half the stuff on their phone and still be perfectly happy with it AND gain back a good portion of their battery life. But maybe their battery isn't that bad yet for such drastic measures =)

So here is the result of my iPhone after battery recalibration:

5 hours 37 minutes useage (2 - 3 of which was tweetbot streaming)

23 hours 19 minutes standby

Ending at 27%

I have 37 tweaks installed and just posted that amazing battery performance (of which I haven't seen anything like in months).

I have very little tweaks, etc. I uninstalled zephyr because it drained my battery. Is activator a battery killer?

Thanks

I don't think it is. I use a lot of activator gestures and menus and I have no issues with battery drain.

Yea, when I had my jailbroken iPhone 4 my battery life was extremely terrible- two to three hours of normal usage terrible. I betting it was all of my winter board tweaks and themes along with a bunch of other tweaks that I didn't need or what after awhile. Jailbreaking can be stressful lol

I'm in the same spot as you. Could you let us know how your battery life was without Zephyr. Also is your version pirated or paid for(not judging lol).

I've had it uninstalled for a couple days and am not seeing a difference.

After one or two days with everything except Tetherme uninstalled (including Zephyr), I noticed battery life was much better.

Before:
Zephyr
Tetherme
NCSettings
Switchy

(all were legit paid apps from big boss repo)

After:

Tetherme

Battery life was much closer to how it was before jailbreak.

I just reinstalled Zephyr to see if it is going to drain again. So far I haven't noticed much difference, which is surprising.

Zephyr killed my battery but no one seemed to answer/ know if it drained the battery because of an interaction with bulletin. I only use ncsettings and bulletin

Main Tweaks installed:

Springtomize 2
SwipeSelection
Zephyr

Couple other things like BytaFont, MapsOpener, and OpenSSH.

Battery life on my 4S. Pretty decent I guess.

I haven't noticed any noticeable decrease in battery life while using Zephyr and Winterboard. I just uninstalled Zephyr because I was sick of accidentally switching apps while trying to swipe through pictures and stuff. Its a cool tweak but one I can live without.

Same here. The fix is to set it to two finger swipe as one finger swipe is annoying. And you can disable per app if you wish.

A few light phone calls, web surfing, twitter, casual apps and stuff. Taking pics.

Almost everything but gaming and listening to music for an extended session

I think I'm getting quicker battery drain as well. I have:
Favorite Contacts for NC
biteSMS
Auxo
Activator
BrowserChanger
Chromizer
DietBulletin
Nitrous
PkgBackup
Pandora Downloader
Lockinfo 5
ResetAllKiller
Software Update Killer

Not sure which is causing the drain. I probably could get rid of everything but biteSMS and Auxo

I think I'm gonna kill Zephyr. It seems like overall , all I read about is it killing battery.

Hell, I'm good without it anyway.

Here's a helpful thing - for themes, optimise them. It will help battery life.

And it should also makes things a little bit snappier as well. Not sure if that's a guaranteed effect but it can definitely help. Keep in mind I'm no themer. I occasionally use winterboard to theme my notification center but I haven't done that in a while.

Auxo is a good one to uninstall to test.
I uninstalled it as my battery is solid.

For the one asking about bulletin.
I use NCsettings and bulletin and activator.
No battery problem I can notice.
