I've been using my 13" i7 TB (running Scrivener and three or four tabs worth of Safari constantly) for 4.5 hours and I'm down to 57% battery. Not too shabby.
The touch bar model you have is 2.9Ghz not 2.0 Ghz. The 2.0 Ghz is non touch bar.I have an i5 2.0 Ghz 13" TB with 512 SSD and 16 RAM.
I am seeing 750 mAH just using 1-2 tabs in Safari at 30% brightness with only a few idle apps open in the background.
I thought reinstalling Sierra helped, and it still seems like it may have, but the drop from 80% charge to 70% went faster than from 100-90 and 90-80, so I'm worried that the effect was temporary.
Obviously if consumption stays at 600-700 mAH there's no way it can get 10 hours. At 650 average it would get a little less than 7 hours, which is what I got for the first 6 cycles before the Sierra reinstall.
how exactly do you reinstall to maintain logins?That's what I am thinking...I would try to do it - you really do not have anything to lose.
The funny thing is, I didn't have to reinstall any programs, any data, logins - everything was still there. I basically just started it, typed my password a few times, and it downloaded and then installed. To be quite honest, I'm REALLY shocked my battery life doubled...
Can u please do your observations somewhere else maybe by watching the stars. I told u already u are not helpful and u are just spamming and diluting the conversation. Buy a MBP TB and then u are welcome to the conversation until then stay out of it.
I didn't do anything special. I even said ok to losing my things. I was surprised when it came back up and everything was still there.how exactly do you reinstall to maintain logins?
Nice, after re-installing the Sierra, Here are the new estimates from my battery.
I know they are not correct and will change as per my usage. But still better than yesterday.
oh, do you have iCloud keychain setup?I didn't do anything special. I even said ok to losing my things. I was surprised when it came back up and everything was still there.
Certain web sites are a battery disasters;
Random site - 11 hrs of battery life; kare11.com (and similar) - 7 hrs of battery, even if there is no interaction;
Guessing too many ads are going on
I am having a problem with my new MacBook Pro touch bar.
Everytime I start up, the screen flickers real bad. Its all over the screen. It happens right after I type the password.
Is this a software issue? Or should I take it back
