Question: I’m using Coconut Battery to keep track of my 8 Plus battery capacity. As you can see, I update my stats every Sunday. Does this look normal? I’m having about 3-4 load cycles per week.

Also, unrelated question...I tried to upload that same picture on here, but it said the file size was too large. I had to crop the image and make it smaller to make it work. Are all the 8 Plus photos too big to upload to this website?

Looks perfectly fine. You're still at a 100%! That's excellent battery health.

I haven't, really didn't think about it to be honest. Just on normal use throughout the day has been fine. I spoke too too soon though..little goofy with the % number again. Once again charging after I got home it was stuck on 90% for over 1 hour. I did a hard reboot again and it showed 100%. I have had this similar issue with my iPad Pro for over a year, I would use it...battery would drop down to 40, 50% whatever. I'd charge it then it would just stop at 96%, 98%. It's very random. So it's almost like it's showing 90-something percent, when it really is 100%.

Not affecting the phone, the speed...just a slight frustrating "bug," flaw...something. MAYBE this new 11.5 update will fix it, who knows. Past updates never fixed the iPad Pro battery % oddity. I have AppleCare on this thing, if it keeps acting up I'll bring it in.

You need to restore your phone and set it up as new. That happens when a rouge app is running in the background. It's drawing power faster than the phone charges. The only sure way to fix it is to do a restore and set it up as new.

Did anyone move from an iPhone X to an 8 Plus? Did you notice a battery life improvement?

I never had an X so I can’t compare, but pretty much everyone will tell you that the 8 Plus has a far better battery life.

I had the X - along with this 8 Plus, returned the X on Jan 8. The battery in the 8 Plus is much better!
As for this % glitch, it seems to be better since the update. No idea what that was about.

How much better?
When I got the 8+ and used it for a full day I would come home with an impressive 76%, I bought the X in late Nov. the same time frame with the X it would be down to 53%, 55% - still not horrible I guess. It was far better than my old 6 Plus

My plan was to keep the X, sell the 8+. I couldn't unload the 8+ without taking a major hit $$. It just didn't make sense to have 2 phones so I returned the X on Jan 8. I had the small bug with the % on the 8+, that seems to have disappeared with the latest update.

If I don't shoot video, take tons of photos...the battery will not go below 70% in 8 hours.

Wow that's pretty impressive. I just don't get how the X lasts longer in YouTube battery tests though.

About to put my 8 Plus on the wireless charger for the night, but look...nearly 6 hours usage and still at 50 percent! Amazing!
