Mine bent as well. I did not sit on it. It was in my front pocket, the glass came loose from the screen. I believe it may have been defective, it is a brand new iphone 7. I was walking, and when I took it out of my pocket, I noticed that the phone was not aligned with the otterbox case. I took it out and realised it was very seriously damaged. The LCD is incapable of producing black colors on the screen, and the speakers make weird noises. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 700 dollar phone, I wish I bought an s7 instead. If Apple does not replace my phone for free, or for a reasonable price, I will never purchase another Apple product, although, for a multi-billion dollar company like Apple, that won't matter to them very much. I have had 2 Ipads, a Mac, and 5 Iphone's, upgrading with new generations. I never experienced something like this. I believe the screen may have come off due to the adhesive melting with to much heat. I had joggers on, and they were very loose, so pressure could not have been the reason.
That must be one hell of a tight front pocket to do that walking .. the aluminium is bent.

Good luck

Applecare will take care of it. If you don't have AC, you can see what they will do. But honestly, from the photo, it looks like some serious force was applied to the phone to make it that bent. I'm not sure an s7 would have been better as it potentially could have shattered.

True, but by people replying and getting upset over an internet forum, they are are getting trolled by a troll. A scammer is a troll, and when people bite they are getting trolled.

If a guy gets mad, bends his phone, then comes in here and tries to cheat apple, then so what? You really think us (random people on the internet) are gonna stop him? LOL.

It is a FORUM!

You know this happens all the time.

Do you honestly expect anyone to believe that phone bent itself in your "loose" pants? Seriously? Stuff doesn't just bend by itself.

While were on it, what's your address so I can give you a pair of fingernail clippers?

Also would like to point out a few glaring troll signs - You're a newbie. You also reference an S7. Last but not least, the incessant bashing of apple.

Just to make an observation/suggestion:

If your Plus sized iPhone is routinely carried in your front/back pocket, maybe you should think again about the Plus size.

The larger size is a plus for many, but it does have one or two disadvantages.

What is the point of having a phone if you aren't going to use it to its all potential. For example, seeing the distance and and elevation gain when I ride a bike. Using it for that doesn't seem too outrageous to me.

It's unfortunate what happened to your phone but you should have known better than to ride with a phone that size in your pocket. Something as simple as this could have prevented it.

So long story short, I received my iPhone 7 plus on Monday and immediately put it in an otter box. I took It out of my case yesterday after biking to make sure no dirt was in it and it was BENT pretty badly. Does anybody have any advice on how to go about getting a replacement without using one of my replacements on apple care and spending another $100. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Same thing here man :( Iphone 7 is bent for some reason all my friends with the 7 have the same **** its not only the plus. Anyone knowing what to do???

iPhones don't spontaneously and inexplicably bend. There has to be some sort of factor that's contributing to the bending. And the 7000 series aluminum used on the iPhone 7 is fairly strong and durable. So it's either from some sort applied pressure from sitting on it or in your pants pocket.

Jesus Christ. The phone was new when you bought it. You have every chance to inspect it before you leave the store to ensure that it is not defective. 99.99% of them are defect free anyway, but that's not the point.

The point here is that YOU ****ed up the phone and it is on YOU to get it fixed. Apple doesn't owe you anything. You can't call Toyota and demand them to replace your car because YOU wrecked it.

Get off your high horse and suck it up. Y'all few that are whining about this need to get off the tit and take some responsibility for your actions.

You damaged your phone mountain biking. Quit trying to put the blame on others and get free things.

Yeah. Stop being reckless with your phone. This bendgate thing is 100% BS. It's just people being careless and sitting on their phones, or subjecting them to forces they weren't meant to be subjected to. Then a few people complained, a few youtube sensationalists made videos, and you guys sent the WHOLE STOCK MARKET down in 15/16 because of your stupidity.

Your car panels will bend if you don't treat them right. So will your TV, your stereo, your laptop, etc.etc.etc. Why the hell do people think they deserve a replacement simply because it is an iphone and they remember some sensationalist nonsense from a few years ago?

If phones are bending spontaneously, then I fully support you. They are not. End of story. Pay for your own mistakes.

Strange. I've had every iPhone Plus model since the 6 stuffed in my left front pocket and not one has bent.

I've had the 6, 6+, 6s+ and now the 7+. Never had a single issue with "bend gate." I put my phone in my back pocket all the time. Occasionally I'll accidentally sit down with my phone in there for a hot minute. Still never had any bending issues.

I have heard of the Geeks just handing someone a new phone before and other times where they asked you to buy AC+ so they could replace it under warranty. But they will likely notice that you have AC+ and want you to use it.

Now you are wanting to know to get the phone you bent replaced free and not even use your AC+?o_O
[doublepost=1501413413][/doublepost]Well what a coincidence, mine bent the day I put it into my clear otterbox case. Did you also have a clear otterbox case?
[doublepost=1501413702][/doublepost]
How do you think that the adhesive got so warm the screen fell off?

If that were so we would be reading about screens falling off in every other thread.

People have actually damaged their phones by putting in or taking it out of a tight fitting case.

Hope Apple is kind to you.

I visited the store and argued with employees for a few hours. They ended up allowing me to purchase apple care after my phone was already damaged. VERY WEIRD, but atleast it was helpful. I still paid 200 CAD, but otherwise it would have cost me 300. I think the case could have been the reason the phone bent, because others on this thread report there iphones bending after using a otterbox case similar to mine. The case was always exteremelly tough to put on and take off the phone, it must have applied pressure over time.

For reference, I used to be a feather weight. At the time of this incident I was 6 foot 2, but weighed only 115 pounds. Even if I had sat on the phone for a extended period of time, which I didnt, the phone should have still not bent due to my weight.

I didnt have apple care on my phone, but the staff let me purchase apple care after i visited the store with the damaged phone. It was very weird because insurance is supposed to be purchased before the incident, but I suppose the workers felt pitty because of the absurd amount of damage and the circumstances in which it broke.

I do not think it is the case that bends the phone, it is the user that bends the phone getting it in and out of the case.

I had to cut a friends Otterbox off of his iPhone as we could not get it to budge.
