Oh for Christ's sake will you two give it up.

Behaving like children kind of invalidates both of your opinions!

lol. they are both kinda ridiculous. I agree with bella, in my opinion this cuord sleeve looks pretty tacky. I still stand by my opinion on the hard graft sleeve. I love the look of it. I also think buying something just to be different is as sill as buying something just to fit in. if either one of those are your motivating factor for a purchase, you fail at life. being "different" is not really being original. neither is doing something just to stand out. doing something/buying into something because you truly believe in it, or like its aesthetically makes more sense to me.

if you personally find that cuord sleeve appealing because of the aesthetics. go for it. I cant see myself buying it, because of whatever personal bias I have towards that specific material and colour. same color and and material of pants I used to wear when I was 5 years old. because there is nothing that immediately comes to mind when I think of ash grey felt, I can appreciate the aesthetics and how it works with the metal, without some subconscious association.

TO EACH HIS/HER OWN.

If you use cheap synthetical felt it's can have problems, there are a lot of different felt with different types of fibers. But this is 100% natural wool felt, 100% sheep, so no problems here. :)

Good point. Thanks.

I dont seem to be having the same problem anymore. but I can see that its going the way of my old wool sweaters. I dont think its meant to be tossed around too much.

Oh dear, and I was happy to have the expensive option off the table!

:)

I guess my real question now is how much protection does it really need? How sensitive/fragile is it? It will be in a purse of shoulder bag. Does it just need protection from scratches or does it need more cushioning than that? I may have to wait and hold it in my hands to know.

all the protection you need, dont worry about pumps or scratches.

I am looking for a vinyl skin with the apple cutout but for top bottom and inside. Unfortunately shipping to UK is proving expensive. I already had a leather filofax A4 envelope type case that very luckily, fits my 11.6" like a glove.

Thought I'd add, I picked up a Moshi muse 11'. Love it! Quality is high, protects the mba very well, along with the palm guard, clear guard and wrapsol for the outside my MBA is ready!

Also, I bought three other sets for my cousins but it turns out they already ordered one himself. If anyone's interested, I'll be selling them!

Pics can be found:

The muse is $50, clearguard and palm guard $35 each. Located in Hamilton, ON Canada (will be back in the new year). Shipping at buyers expense! (oh yeah, plenty of feedback avail., msg for more details)

OMG OMG OMG I NEED ONE! Anyone know where online or in-store in the US I can get one of these?

I have a white leather/blue felt one and it's lovely :) It gets as many admiring glances as the Air does...

Phazer

Wow that one is gorgeous!

Except that they don't seem to have it in stock for ordering either ("Dispatched: 1-2 weeks").

I contacted Apple US Sales, they CANNOT sell a non-US Apple store product to an Apple US customer. Bummer. They did say usually when items come to stock in one apple store online it's usually only a couple days till all them have it.

Macbook Air Case

So I saw the case in etsy but didn't wanna pay that price so I made my own. Took 4 hours n bam my own custom case.

I just received the Tucano Second Skin for my MacBook Air 11", and have to say it wasn't what I expected it to be. It is rather decent, however, the Tucano Workout bag has been more to my liking these past few days.

The InCase Neoprene Sleeve is now available, online: http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/neoprene-sleeve-cl57801

If anybody feels like they absolutely need a Tucano Second Skin (Ice Grey) I'll give mine up for cheap ($20ish) so long as you're local (San Diego/OC maybe LA).

My MBA is now sporting this

from Borsabella.com I love her bags and the CS is amazing.

That is not only ugly but way over priced!
There is a nice neoprene one on ebay. Do a search called luvmac or something.

I'm not saying that Hard Graft is the pinnacle in style, but if you consider felt and leather sleeves more ugly than neoprene than I think you need some serious advice and an Esquire subscription. Neoprene only looks good on 25 year old female model scuba divers and nothing else.

Excellent 11" MBA case

I've been using this case from Brenthaven. It's only $25 and fits the 11" MBA, pretects it very well and has an outside pocket for charger, etc.

http://www.brenthaven.com/ipad-sleeve-cases#collections/trek-sleeve-ipad

They now list it for an iPad but when I bought it it was under 11" PC cases. I guess they thought it would sell better listed as an iPad case rather than a netbook case. It uses their CORE system, so you could dsrop this from five feet without damaging your MBA. Good value for only $25.

I ordered the above sleeve. It's bright! I hope it's not too thick. I really want a bare minimum sleeve, I just couldn't wait for Joli Originals to get back into production. I like the Joli sleeves, and will probably go for one, when they are available.

I also ordered this fantastic messenger bag in Khaki:

http://www.flight001.com/a-4-messenger-bag.html

They haven't arrived yet, my Air hasn't arrived yet, so I'm hoping the set-up works. I may just sew my own minimalistic sleeve!

I'm looking for a "Air on a String" kind of bag, with a pocket, padding and a strap. A bare minimum messenger type bag for the air, with waterproof protection. Any luck finding one like that? I have a 11" on it's way!
