What's the best sleeve for the 11" that protects it? Mine's going to be in a large backpack and I don't fancy it being squished much!

Check out the booq vyper. I have one and I like it. Its not a thin sleeve, but its super sturdy case. Unfortunately, it is a bit thick compared to others, but I think it gives it much better protection.

Any chance of the power adapter squashing against the Air?

There's not enough room inside the case for the power brick, regardless of the description on the website. it's simply too tight. however if you keep the power adapter outside of the case, loose in your bag, I think the case's hard material should be enough to keep your laptop safe...

great topic, still doubting which one to get though!
Either the Hard graft or the Joli Sleeve.

Anyone has experience with these two sleeves?

I ordered this case from Millswyn in preparation for my 11-inch Air. It's the No. 2 on their website.

Looks really good, can't wait for it and the Air.

I just got the booq viper for the 11. I love it. Can hold my air and my pad. Strong hard case with soft memory foam in the inside that will fit both devices at once or one device and the chargers.

I recently picked up this one in black for my 11 inch at the Apple store. It provides the most protection I've seen in a MBA case. I feel as though I can toss the whole thing somewhere and not worry about it. I also store my earphones in the front pocket. I wouldn't recommend the power supply like they show in the photo.

This is 13 inch.
They have an 11 inch option right?

Or do you put the 11 inch in the 13 inch case?

Either the Hard graft or the Joli Sleeve.
Couldn't wait any longer, and there where a couple of good reviews for both in another topic. As dutchie I had to go for the dutch joli. Ordered the brown-yellow one. :)

I was going for the Viper hardcase, but it is hard to find in the UK and expensive. I was also not impressed with anything I found in the Applestore. The bags, what few there were, seemed all fluff and no substance. And expensive.

Enter the Targus Slim Case to the rescue. Costing a mere £16.99 delivered from Expansys, this is a solid, hard slipcase which will protect the innards from knocks as well as drops. It adds about 0.5kg to the weight, so not for those that really must travel as light as possible. Larger versions exist in black/orange trim. I had to settle for khaki/orange, but it looks nicer in the flesh than I feared.

The nice thing about it is that it can open from the top, like a normal slipcase or you can open the zip around the sides so that it flips open and provides a protective desk for when you are having to place your easily scratchable MBA on dubious surfaces. A pair of straps inside secure your notebook whilst travelling.

I'm chuffed to bits with it.

I found it:
http://www.targus.com/uk/product_details.asp?sku=TBS025EU

although this is the UK website, I can't find it on the US website. It looks great, wonder why I haven't seen it after obssessively hunting around the internet for the last 5 days.

That is the 13" model, which has those bumps on the inside. The 11" version like mine only comes in khaki and has a smooth interior, albeit with an additional netted storage space, which is rather useless.

I bought mine here although the price went up immediately after I placed my order. I suppose they use Amazon's flexible pricing mechanism where the price goes up the more people order. If you look at the SKU, it ends in EU, which is probably why you cannot find this on the US website. It seems to be something for the European market only at the moment.
