Right now, it's either the HD2 or the X10.
No and no.

The X10 is still just a pipe dream and Sony Ericsson has proven they can't be counted on to deliver. I wouldn't call that a valid option until the date, carrier and price are set in stone and signed in blood...

The HD2 is most likely coming to craptastic T-Mobile, and do you remember what their 2-year contract price is for the HTC Touch Pro2? It's $350. So I really wouldn't hold my breath for the HD2 either...

Are you serious? Why would you switch to a Windows Mobile phone from an iPhone? You said browsing is important, right? That's like taking 10 steps backward.

+1. Windows Mobile browsing will make you want to forget the internet even exists.

I keep waiting for Microsoft to just go all the way and introduce the "Windows Mobile Abacus Edition".

Good point. I guess I just dont see whats so amazing about it.

personally I'm not interested in android, bt I thnk the deal with the droid is that a lot of people thInk it's the first android phone to have really capable hardware supporting the OS. And it's the first with android 2.0.

Well, it all depends on what you want to do with it--for raw power, the Nokia N900 is going to be hard to beat. Heck, you can even just run Debian on it if you feel so inclined!

Frankly (and this is after using an iPhone for nearly two years), I can't fathom buying a smartphone without a physical QWERTY keyboard. Also, for me, I really want something that can be used comfortably as a phone as well as a typing/emailing device--so the Nokia E90 Communicator form factor seems like the obvious winner to me, with a full QWERTY board, a "cover phone" that feels almost exactly like a normal phone (but with the power of a smartphone), and a super high-res display (800 pixels wide makes the iPhone feel like an antique to me!). Also, NOT having touch elements/an onscreen keyboard gives me a much larger working area.

Just my 2c.
