Is it necessary to somehow recalibrate fans on Mac Pro after upgrading a CPU...
Something similat to using ASD on a G5 Mac? Or any specific fan calibration is not necessary when upgrading a Mac Pro CPU?

Can some SSD’s or whatever piece of HW upgrade cause fans to spin at high level?

If yes, what are the solutions? Controlling fans with software?

MacsFanControl, use it with caution, this thing can completely override the system fan profile regardless the CPU temperature (which means can cause overheat if you set the fan at too low speed).

Ok, but will simple CPU upgrade cause some fan problems? Is recalibration needed bu default?

The most common reason you'll get wrong fan speed (on full 100% etc) is the heatsink/cooler is not seated correctly. Swapping the CPU, by itself, won't cause your CPU fans problems.

You can get issues with only one cpu installed in a dual cpu tray - I'm pretty sure that further info on that is in the sticky CPU threads.

Thank you!
P.S. There’s a lot of specific info on various issues I need to deal with/know at the moment with regards to building this system - sorry if asking something which is already in some threads.

:)
