So it seems the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is most likely true. Both the iPhone 6 and the Note 4 will be releasing about the same time in September. Can't wait to see the marketing war between Apple and Samsung.

If your going for a big screen device next, which one are you going for and why?

I myself will be going for the Note 4, mainly cause I've envied the Note 2 & 3 long enough. And heard nothing but good things about the Note. Especially battery life. If it wasn't for the Note 4, I would definitely get a 5.5 iPhone 6 and see if I can live with iOS as my main phone again.

The LG G3 would also be a good choice and it will be released any time now. And it will probably be cheaper in September.

Also, I think Apple having a 5.5 inch would be good all round. Those who want to go back to iOS can't use small screen size as an excuse, plus iPhone loyalist will not be turned off by big screens anymore and might give other phone manufacturers a try.

I am over my Note 3 and the software.

The screen is great and its fast but I am over Android at the moment and dealing with their inconsistencies in the operating system.

I wish the iPhone would release in a perfect sweet spot like 5 inches.

So switching more so for operating system and not the actual device.

Generally I'm not a huge fan of these big phones, having previously owned a Note 2. That being said, my distaste for the Note 2 likely had more to do with the user experience and TW more than the size of the device.

I'm am curious about Apple's rumored offering. If it does have a 1080p (or close to it) display and significant camera improvements (i.e. OIS and a slight bump in MP) and doesn't have overly large bezels, I'll likely take a look at getting one to complement my 5S.

I like what I've seen of iOS 8 so far, so I'd definitely be interested in the 5.5" iPhone 6. In particular I love that they're finally opening up for 3d party keyboards (I'm a Swype-oholic).

But it's in no way a done deal yet. I won't decide until I've been able to test them both thoroughly. I really want to see just how the increased possiblities for sharing between apps will work on iOS 8, how those widgets really work, etc. And of course I'll wait also until I've seen if Samsung bring on any cool new stuff for the N4. How it looks will also influence my choice.

In general, my feeling about iOS 8 is positive enough that I could probably put up with missing some of Android's perks just to have a more coherent and tidy OS on my phone. My year with TouchWiz has not been without its share of irritation and grief, that's for sure...

Speaking of TouchWiz, something I might choose over both of these would possibly be a 5.5" (or bigger) Nexus or Moto X type phone: big screen + pure Android + clean design handset would be very nice indeed.

After a year with the Note 2 I've also come to long for an even larger screen, larger even than the 5.7" of the N3, so a successor to the Lumia 1520 would also be verrrry tempting...

Now let's just hope that 5.5" iPhone 6 actually comes true... Otherwise I'll be real disappointed, that's for sure.

(voted "other" because I haven't made up my mind yet)

I wouldn't say I'm over the Note 3 but it damn sure is getting close. Kitkat has just about ruined this phone for me but I'll still hold out judgment on the Note 4. As of now though I'm leaning towards ditching Samsung altogether.

One thing is for certain. If the 5.5 iPhone is true, I will definitely get it as a x-mas gift for my mother.

Hmm i dont know, im using ios 8 right now and i can see how devs will take advantage of widgets plus the games with metal will be something to check out but if they dont have something special for the 5.5" iphone i think i will go for the Note 4.

When the betas get more stable i will try Yosemite and see how everything works with icloud drive and and how well everything works.

Note 4 is simply no option for me thanks to touchwiz.

A note 4 google edition though, ssure why not (since Sony seems to not want to produce a successor for their ultra)

Hard to say without actually seeing what the hardware is going to be like. While I wouldn't want something that large it is nice to see Apple finally offering a larger screen.

Is it KitKat that has ruined the experience or TouchWiz?

Kitkat's compatibility with the Note 3. I have no problems with touchwiz. Ever since the update, my screen randomly becomes unresponsive, excessive battery drain, overheating and an unusual amount of force closes.

Interesting. Most (including myself) would say its TouchWiz just because how bloated it is.

I personally wouldn't purchase another Samsung device with TouchWiz installed; I prefer Google Edition Samsung devices.

More likely than not I'll be getting the 4.7" iPhone 6 versus the 5.5" version (though I'd love to get both :D) - but I've been intrigued by the Note series and am fascinated by the phablet in general....

Given my bent for iOS, I'd have to say if I were to go with a phablet it would be whichever one ran iOS.

I don't think it's Touchwiz per se. More like Samsung's optimization of Kitkat blended into touchwiz. As it is, you hardly get any Kitkat features like ART anyway.

However Samsung implemented Kitkat into touchwiz (or really touchwiz into Kitkat), they did a piss-poor job about it. Jelly Bean had the Note flying and I experienced zero issues.

Looking forward to the LG G3...they manage to squeeze a 5.5 screen into a almost same size as a 5 inch phone. It will be interesting to see a 5.5 IP6...if they keep the same bezels......it will be a big phone.....

That's a good point.

Will the iPhone 5.5 be larger than the Note 4 5.7? Will the The iPhone 4.7 be almost the same size as the 5.5 LG G3? The bottom bezel would no doubt remain the same or close to due to the home button. So it should be interesting how Apple designs the bigger screen iPhones.

Are you getting the G3 at release?

Note 4. Although Samsung goes over the top with features, there's still plenty of useful ones that take advantage of a screen that size.

That is my plan.....when it comes to AT&T. I can't wait to get my hands on one.....from all the chatter from all the tech blogs....it looks like it will hit the carriers before July 1.

Note 4 90% sure

Don't see the iPhone being a good enough overall phone to beat out the note 4 for my needs. Stylus too is a big thing

However this isn't a fair question when we don't know what the iPhone will include. For the note 4 we have a pretty good guess.

If I was to leave Samsung it would be for this iPhone 5'5

However seeing as I have the

Gear 2
Note 3
Note 12.2
Note 8.0

I can't see myself leaving when I'm so invested into Samsung now

i have a note 2 and its great but i do like where ios is going and i have ipad/mac air/apple tv etc but my biggest worry is the size of a 5.5 iphone, the Note 2 is fine for me but i wouldn't want anything bigger which i think the iphone will be.

I don't get all the complaints, just install a new launcher like Nova?

I am over Android at the moment and dealing with their inconsistencies in the operating system.

details?

Sounds like a conflict with an app or apps.

Are you in some type of Samsung ecosystem or is it just Google like normal?
