Running Public Beta 2

Fixed - Epic Games Launcher wouldn't launch in PB1, now it works fine in PB2
Possibly fixed - Mouse movement with Synergy 1 Pro was sluggish, now seems better
Still not working properly - OBS has massive display corruption on the GUI, the streaming it self is fine.

Drobo is not working for me. I have a 5d3 drobo and thunderbolt 3 doesn't work at all. USB 3 works but keeps disconnecting constantly so it's hard to do any work. Drobo 5D over USB 3 works fine.

I am having issues with Acrobat CC since the beta 5 upgrades. It launches but crashes as soon as anything in the UI is clicked. This is consistent across two machines (both running B5).

Is anyone else seeing some really odd rendering for Google in Chrome? I just upgraded this morning and immediately started seeing this whenever doing a Google search. I've verified that my language settings are correct so I'm not sure what's up.

I figured it out! It was a font-related issue related specifically to Roboto. I opened Font Book and saw that there were multiple copies of Roboto installed. I resolved the issue automatically and it's all good now!

Upgraded from the first Big Sur Public Beta to the second, and it trashed my install. Boo Hiss....

Downloaded the latest Big Sur Public Beta, installed it on a freshly formatted SSD, seems to be working ok.

However, the big surprise is that there is a new updated download for VNC Viewer (version. 6.20.817 (r42879)) that now works on Big Sur. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

Parallels on Beta 5 causes a kernal panic and shuts the computer down. Happens on my MacBook Pro 16

On the parallels support forum, one user suggested as a temporary fix:

Issue is related to Parallels hypervisor kext. You can switch to the Apple hypervisor under "Hardware - > CPU & Memory -> Advanced Settings" of your VM's settings, works for now until Parallels can fix it with an update.
look at post 592, this helped me
Thanks for Info but in Beta 5 Big Sur And Parallels 16 the command Line not working, i have test it

I think they were referring to post 591, post 592 just said that 591 worked. I suppose you didn’t read either, so here they are. It does not involve the command line.

Here is the answer, also above ". Issue is related to Parallels hypervisor kext. You can switch to the Apple hypervisor under "Hardware - > CPU & Memory -> Advanced Settings" of your VM's settings, works for now until Parallels can fix it with an update."

Thanks, now I've understood that there is a solution, but I can't find the place where I can change something, my English is not so perfect and I can't find the hardware setting, so I should change something there, but thanks for the tip.

I better wait for the update from paralells then
