Need help. I'm trying to download Big Sur installer via system update for around 24 hours. It’s just stuck at 9,56gb and there's no solution for it. I've seen messages from other people experiencing same issue.
So I'll be (and everyone who google that problem) VERY VERY appreciate, if someone upload Big Sur dmg image or create a torrent View attachment 926875

I get the same, and then install failed. It will restart download somewhere in the middle, each time it starts further in. I tried unenroll, restart and re-enroll, now downloading again.

Not working:

Every single app from Rogue Amoeba (Airfoil, Audio Hijack, Farrago, Fission, Loopback, Piezo, and SoundSource)

Annoyingly, they do not even let you attempt to use the apps, just greeted with an “OS is unsupported” splash page. At least let me take the risk!
It’s extremely annoying how they put a hard OS check in their apps. I get that they are doing a lot of low level stuff, but come on. The risk isn’t that great.

Exactly. And the risk is all mine to take, so it’s even more annoying that they won’t let me try on my own machine using their software that I paid to use. I get that their ACE audio framework has caused some issues in previous betas, but that is absolutely a risk I am willing to take!

VMWare is always a problem with early betas for major expansions. I don't see Parallels mentioned anywhere, though just the fact VMWare Fusion doesn't work is an instant deal breaker for me.

All is working for bar a few utilities;

- Little Snitch
- Dropbox
- Onyx
- TinkerTool
- CCC (reports incompatibility, but seems to work)
- DaisyDisk

I see tht some people are reporting the following not working, but they work fine for me;

- Parallels (Win10 from BootCamp)
- MS 365 Suite

MS 365 must be the App Store version right?

No luck with it? I'll try to do the same

If you need a workaround for Dropbox, you can access all your Dropbox files using Transmit 5 from Panic software (available from their website or on the Mac App Store).

Once installed, connect to your Dropbox account.

When you see your files and double click on a document to edit it, the default action is to download the document to your Downloads folder. Not what you want.

However, if you right-click on the document and choose "Open with..." then it will open directly, not download, you can edit it as normal, and any changes save directly back into Dropbox and get synced to the Dropbox server.

Works very well for me so far until Dropbox provides a beta that works with Big Sur.

Downside: it costs money to buy Transmit, either their yearly subscription (Mac App Store version) or a standalone version (from their own website).

What’s not working for me is Big Sur, I can only log in using safe mode. Normal mode just stalls at 5% progress bar.

Need an urgent fix as I cant even get a bootable installer to be seen so I can try a clean install

I can't open Visual Studio projects and create a new one anymore on Big Sur. It shows as image below. It should be in Not Working list

Yes - I think so. In fact the only issue I had was with Teams not opening. I deleted and re-downloaded and then it worked. Seems coincidental perhaps, but there is no App Store version of Teams that I could find.

I don’t know what you mean by App Store versions. I installed the O365 package directly from MS, and it is not the version with only one icon for Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

Unpopular app.

Does anyone know if the DVD Player app is in Big Sur?
I don’t have a stand-alone player so I use my Mac to watch a lot of the DVDs I have and can’t see anything about that app since yesterday.

I'm just getting a grey screen in DVD player

And all of those apps work ok?
You can now download the individual Office apps from the app store, as well as using the traditional O365 installer from the web (or an enterprise site etc.)

Unfortunately I will not be installing MacOS 11 yet, as Parallels Desktop does not yet work.

Fortunately I could restore my Carbon Copy Clone backup - back on Catalina again.

I see others have it working, some with keyboard issues. What issue are you having?
