Does this benefit from hyper-threading in anyway?
Thanks guys! Never would've thought of that. I tried adding the PC cheats to alot of places in the User.ini-file. Would anyone else care to try this and confirm that it doesn't work? Didn't for me at least.

So this means it will benefit from the new quad core processors?
Its under yourusername/Library/Preferences/Feral Interactive/Bioshock/MacInit/Bioshock.ini
currently set to
[Havok]
HavokNumThreads=2
What does this do?
You want to add them to the correct section of Bioshock.ini.
Where in the bioshock.ini can you add the cheats? I have tried adding the sheets to defuser.ini and it did not work....sorry if this thread is old but I just got bioshock for mac and I want to try the codes out
edddeduck - Did you say that Bioshock on the Mac has ALL the PC/360 DLC?
Edit: I forgot to ask, does the Mac version have the PS3 challenge rooms? Also, if you purchase a game from a e-store such as Amazon, can this be classed as supporting Feral?
I think it's like this, the money you paid for the game goes to the store/distributor, 2K, Feral and through tax, to the government. So it counts, I guess.
But I think some of the money goes to Apple but this could only apply if you buy the game from the Apple Store or the online version of it.

Is anyone out there running this on their i5?
I put the disk in, it churns for a bit and then spits it out. I tried the disk at the Apple Store on dual-core and it mounted fine. That machine has a different optical drive. Applecare suggested contacting the developer but I haven't had any luck in finding Mac support for this product. Sounds like some kind of incompatibility issue. I'm running 10.6.2 and that should be good. Don't know if there's something else I need to install, though.
Man, I hate to drag this heavy iMac in to the store to have the Genius guys check it out. Haven't had trouble with other DVDs, CDs but I've only had this iMac for a couple of days and haven't had much opportunity to try a lot of things.
Thank you, I did send an email a couple of days ago but it was to a slightly different userid than the one in manual. I got the other one off of the web page and I haven't gotten a response yet. So I just sent another email (to the correct userid) and I'll see what they say. I'd hate to have to replace my i5 so I'm hoping it's something that can be fixed easily. I don't think it is a marginal disk as this is my second try at it. I exchanged the first one because it didn't mount and I assumed it was a problem with the disk.I suggest you read the manual for the support page it has our support email address in it.I don't want to write it here as that will attract spam, you should find it near the back of the manual. It sounds like you have a marginal disk (or a marginal DVD drive) if you contact our support address we can see if we can help.
I know the DVD's mount fine in our new iMac here at the office.

I haven't tried any other DVD9's in my iMac. But since my last post, I have tried the BioShock DVD in several other Macs - including my 5 year-old PowerBook and other new iMacs at the Apple Store. In all cases, it mounted just fine. So I'm sure it must be the SuperDrive in my iMac. I'm hoping that they can just replace it in a timely manner. I have an appointment today at 11:00 with the Genius Bar.OK, have you tested any other DVD9's in your Mac? If they all work on other Mac's but not yours it does sadly start to look like a hardware issue with your drive. Anyway we can find out more when we get your support email.

Feral
I've just downloaded and installed the Bioshock demo from Feral and it installed as normal and when I click to load it the graphics settings come up, I set it to defaults and click play. Nothing happens. I try clicking the Bioshock Icon again and it bounces in the dock for a couple of seconds and disappears again, nothing happens.
If any one could shed some light on this as I can't understand why it won't load.
I have a brand new mac book with all the latest updates
My system has an Nvidia 9400m chip which the game says it supports.
Please help as I really want to play this as soon as possible to test out my new Mac : )
Thank you
