I'm waiting for it to be released first, then I am going to wait a while after that to see if any bugs crop up and get fixed. Right now, through a combination of things I have most of BiteSMS functionality if not the look.
Well, I'm using Couria for quick compose and quick reply. I have DimMe installed as well so I set a longer time for the screen to dim.
Copic (which I have had for far longer than BiteSMS) handles Contact pics and the stock Messages app lets you mute certain contacts.
The only thing I don't have is schedules text messages, but since I only really use that once a month for one contact it's not a big deal.
THIS. that was a huge feature, i loved it... Oh i wont remember to text you on your birthday in 3 months? wanna bet?Ahhh, ok. These are both more of a delayed sending type thing (hence the names). I was referring more to a scheduled SMS.
For example, at 9am on the 14th of each month send the following text to contact X.
I see DeLe lets you set delay options, but I'm not sure how setting a months worth of seconds would work, especially since there would be reboots and resprings in between. I'd also have to set it up again the next month.
Cool idea for second thoughts about a text message though. Thanks for the suggestions!
Good to hear but I'm hoping to wait for a finished product on Couria. I always have bad luck with betas lol.Well, I'm using Couria for quick compose and quick reply. I have DimMe installed as well so I set a longer time for the screen to dim.

Well, so far it's working for me and I can't complain too much. It isn't Bite of course but I'd rather have QR and QC then nothing at all. It's irritating to use an Activator action to reply using the stock Messages app and then have to leave the lockscreen to do it.Good to hear but I'm hoping to wait for a finished product on Couria. OpenNotifier Beta - tateu on tateu's repo (tateu.net/repo/)Question. One thing I really loved about Bite was that i could see how many messages I had up on the status bar...do any of the alternatives offer that bit? Its a small thing but I never realized how much I missed that small feature.
Keep in mind, this won't tell you how many messages, but it does show an icon when there is at least one.thank you! I will give that a go!

LOL! Cool. Guess I need to get more than one text message at a time then!just gave it a go and it turns out it does say how many new messages have been received. Nice tweak.

Open Notifier has been around since iOS 6 if not before. Originally, it was so that you could put badges for apps in the status bar that ordinarily do not place badges there. It got broken with iOS 7 and the original dev abandoned it, so it was taken up by this new dev.
P.S. If you do a search for OpenNotifier in Cydia you'll find some additional icons.
No problem. Glad I could recommend a good tweak! That is very awesome! I will be checking out OpenNotifer. I'm glad this new dev took it on because this is going to be super useful (at least for me).
Thanks for recommending it!
I'll give a try on my older iPhone 5 then, your right something's better than nothing lol. Thanks.Well, so far it's working for me and I can't complain too much. Yeah, I bought it today. Had to uninstall it. There's some sort of bug where it freezes the lockscreen after a respring. Nothing will work except a hard reboot. And then right back to the same condition. In the meantime, whatever it's busy doing it's hammering the battery hard. My phone was WARM after installing it!Looks like Columba has gone official.
