A preference of color is usually based on subjective opinions.
Edit: Which "I like black" is as well. - It's not negatively loaded but doesn't make it any less/more correct.

I agree. I'm not questioning preference, I'm questioning the need to justify your preference with subjective reasoning. Who cares if you friend thinks one color or the other is "girly", hopefully that's not what your basing your preference on. My point was that too many of these color posts feel the need to justify their preferences rather than just saying I like this color more than that color*

* Disclaimer - I'm pretty drunk just now.

Ouch! I must admit, although the black macbook was a gift for my wife.. I bought it because it screams "STUD" all over it. Especially with the glowing white apple logo on top when the power is on. I am cool. And I have a blackbook. And I surf for real.

A black liquid metal MBP redesign would be incredible...that said, the "girly" silver Apple currently uses is the most professional, and quality looking of any computer finish.

If thats girly, call me tootsie

Well, I guess I just added him as support for my own opinion to sort of show that I'm at least not the only one thinking it doesn't look that great.

I think a black brushed steel finish macbook air would be the envy of any classroom or workplace. Everybody has shiny metal cases these days. As long as it was specc'd like a beast. ;ol
