Doesn't this suppose to be available next year for the Blackberry, lol.

If that's the case ... the site, and that number, wouldn't be getting indexed by Google either. That's just bad design.

Come now....

There are a ton of Flash sites, which are designed to look and feel in a way, which would be next to impossible to achieve otherwise. Many prefer to have a site with certain capabilities and design, than have their phone number indexed by Google.

Flash Player 10 is a much, much improved version, and from what I know, it runs pretty damned well on hardware which can support it (most decent smart phones introduced in 2009 can do it.)

I love the iPhone 3G S overall. But this Flash thing, is really retarded, and it's really indefensible.

The only mobile device out right now that has full Flash support is an Android device.

1) It didn't work.

It loaded in the browser and played a video so choppy you couldn't watch it.

2) It crashed the browser twice.

This is really part of the "It didn't work", but really the usability problem of it being too slow to actually use was the biggest problem.

3) We want it for watching video and the occasional Flash game.

HTML5 is better for video and Flash based games will be awkward when designed for a computer. The only other use is ads and KILL THEM WITH FIRE. I hate Flash ads.

Flash is bloated, slow, and awful on every platform except Windows. Evidence? Just use any version of it in OS X.

Flash support in theory (with an on/off switch) isn't a bad idea. The current implementations on phones are too quirky, too bloated, and too awkward to use.

Maybe in a year or two, but for now I'm fine with no Flash on the iPhone. Jobs was right, but about the wrong product. Flash, not Blu-ray licensing, is a bag of hurt.

Maemo (N8X0) has full flash support. It works well even though it has by modern standards a pretty slow processor (OMAP2, the same as in N95). The new maemo phone, N900 Rover (coming late '09), will have full flash support too with the same processor as 3GS, so it will be even faster!

Title should have been, "BlackBerry jumping ahead of iPhone with worst smartphone battery life."

iPhone jumping ahead of BlackBerry with first mobile HTML5 support, eliminating the need to ever have Flash.

Honestly people, Flash is worthless.

With the advent of HTML5, CSS, & Javascript, we DONT NEED FLASH.

No well designed website relies 100% on flash.

If you want it strictly for video fine, but not the actual design of the site, hell no.
