That could be, or it was just used sitting at a desk plugged in the entire time. Based on manufacturing date and the fact they never went to Apple for any warranty claims despite the screen issue suggests it was used at least for the year until the warranty was over. Actually, you can check that to some extent with a SSD SMART utility that tells you how much data was written to and read from the SSD over its lifetime so far. If it wasn't used then the data will reflect that.
