Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Error 1600, 1601, 1602
Follow the steps listed above for Error 1604. This error may also be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125) for details on troubleshooting security software.

nothing, tried another cable another usb port and it gives 1600 (doing DFU my self)

another cable another usb port gives 1601 (using Pwnage Tool to help me on putting phone on DFU mode, again took like 2 minutes and it prompts with the error... might be a diference then between manual DFU and doing it with the PWNGE tool.)

Well, I'd try doing it from another computer, then, just to be sure -- just regular DFU, using the stock iOS 6 firmware you just downloaded. Forget trying PWNED DFU mode, it doesn't do anything to help with the troubleshooting. But it's starting to look like you have a phone with a hardware defect. :(

1600 again.... unless someone has anything else to suggest... i will try this tomorrow in the office... and... i can practically say... this phone is well ****ed... somehow the old owner managed to brick it big time... I´m still open to add someone on skype on do it with that person so i can have some one elses as a witness of it and tell me if im doing something wrong...

To be fair to the previous owner, it might not be anything they did. Sometimes devices just break down, and it's not anybody's fault.

Okay, the only thing that can be preventing a DFU mode restore of the latest firmware is hardware failure. Since you have tried multiple computers and multiple cables, your phone is probably the source of the error, probably due to a broken USB interface.

It is important to realize that this is hardware failure, not a software issue. Nothing the previous owner did software wise could use caused this. And while it could be the result of abuse, it's just as likely that the chip or a connection just failed.

Ok, i tried today in the office, and it just gave me error 1602, so... i have to admit this phone have something wrong on the hardware. So i wasnt crazy or i wasnt doing the things you all suggested wrong, is just the iphone is "bricked".

Thanks a lot to

thelatinist: for being my last hope
Night Spring: for try it and care about it
mKTank: for new suggestions
TriJetHero: for the help supplied from the begining
dhlizard: for the help on the beginning and sorry for annoy you really sorry

mmm before i try that thing you are suggesting... is it any better error 1618?? cause i know now how to force to do that error....

1. hosts pointing to apple
2. iphone in restore (white screen)
3. restore to 6.0
4 then error 1618

i noticed aswell that when i clic in fixrecovery (tinyumbrella) it puts like a question mark symbol under recovery devices with the number 1114129 and the ecid it gives me is just a simple number 110011 which is incorrect...

I'm not suggesting anything that you haven't tried before.
This is a link to a previous post in this thread where i suspected hardware issues a few days ago.

Yeah, I know you did. But the surest way to determine that is to do a DFU mode restore to the latest firmware on an updated machine. I never give up until that's been tried.

so... does that mean i was doing it correctly... or it means dhlizard was absoluteley right and i was doing something wrong before?? i just want to know if im still doing dfu wrong (which i doubt) or it is confirmed is a hardware issue

For how much? I was thinking on sell it on ebay as a faulty one for spares, the phone i in perfect condition, except this hardware problem...

it's auction you will no when it closes. You can also search ebay for current ones and check history. it also depends if you have a sellers rep. if this is your 1st sale on ebay vs somebody with a rep the one with the rep wins every time.
