Eltham Palace

Taken in 2008 on a generic 6mp point and shoot... colours too vivid I reckon

Cheers :)

My take (as well as milions of others) on probably the most photographed bridge out there.

Brooklyn Bridge shot at night. I never tire of seeing those pictures. Beautiful beautiful beautiful capture. Bir Hakim is awesome from a repetitive pattern perspective. Is this the bridge they filmed folding over on itself in Inception?

Rowbear, the Bir Hakim above is still so cool to look at, I remember this from when you first shared it with us and love it just as much seeing it again just now.

A couple of bits of bridges that are about a hundred metres apart in the city.

Bir Hakim is a fantastic shot, frame nicely balanced

The Horse Bridge

Part of one of the first and oldest surviving laminated wood bridges. Twin span (centre shown) and built around 1915 from greenheart timber to take a canal towpath over a river.

Another old favourite

IMHO Sydney harbour bridge needs to be viewed in its context - an oldish panorama from Canon 30D. Blown sky a deliberate effect, honest...as always, comments appreciated.

Reminds me of an old derelict bridge I used to play on as a kid. Except for the river used to have shopping trolleys in.
I suspect there's more than a few shopping carts and such in there , but the tide's in , plus the mud is pretty bottomless so they've probably sunk in pretty deeply .
Just as an aside , there's a new New Bridge ( just a few hundred yards upstream) . The Old New Bridge ( in the picture, built in the 1880's IIRC) replaced the original New Bridge which replaced the original bridge at this site that was either disassembled (or burnt , take your pick) by either the Continental Army or the Bergen Militia (again , take your pick) during our Revolution to prevent those rascals the British from bagging a large part of Washington's Army on their retreat from Ft. Lee.

An old one...

Telford's suspension bridge at Conway in Wales built in 1826 was one of the first road suspension bridges in the world. Leads to the medieval Conway castle (built around 1285). Just on the left is a glimpse of the world's first wrought iron tube railway bridge built in 1848 (Stephenson). Comments always appreciated.

I prefer this one out of the two.

A trio of bridges from Newcastle (for Kenoh) and one of my favourites of possibly the most iconic bridge in the world :D
