It’s not ideal, but presumably a company the size of theirs doesn’t have bundles of cash reserves available so are having to play a bit of a balancing act when it comes to launching new products. In a week where we’ve seen Eero bought over by Amazon, I’m feeling ok about giving a company like Brydge money in advance.

My only regret is not getting in on this sooner, because as much as I like the new Apple keyboard case, its really not a great experience when using the 12.9 on your lap. It’s OK and much improved over the old cases, but there’s nowhere to rest your palms and the weight of the iPad is still wanting to tip the whole thing over.

I’m also not a fan of paying months in advance, but in the past, I’ve gone to order a Brydge keyboard and have found that they are out of stock when I go to order one anyway. I figured that this time I’d pre-order to get one when they are first released and not risk missing out this time.

I use my iPad on my lap in the evenings and the Brydge keyboard looks perfect for that.
