The suggestion of this site is "Do not buy". As I am stuck to MBA 2015 (with the 8GB RAM updated on 2016) I have problem because day by day becomes slower and slower... What can I do now?

Wait for WWDC just incase they announce a new MBA and get that (if you like the look of it/price).

If they don't announce a new MBA, just get an M1 MBA if your current machine is too slow for you. See previous posts for commentry on that including debate on 8GB vs 16GB.

I mean slow when developing on XCODE. This crap became toooo heavy.. For every day use it's perfect.. I Considered buying a Mac Mini M1 but this also has "Don't buy status", till I get a laptop..

If you need one then buy one. The Buy / Don’t Buy thing is silly.
Yes, it is the advice only for people casually shopping. You just don't want to be my friend: using successfully iphone 8 for years to update to new iphone right in Aug(1 month before the new one appears), when you know or don't know that new iphone is coming every Sep.

If you have no phone/laptop and you need it now then it is right time to buy. I personally bought 16/512 M1 Air for my sister for coding 1 week ago. No regrets.

I just ordered a refurbished one from Apple (with 16gb) for 1019. I’m going to hold onto it and see if they release/announce something during WWDC, if they do, I’ll be in the 14 day window and switch out the laptop. If they don’t, I’ve got one I can use right away.

Also bought ref for $1229 16/512. Personally I for myself (8/512 M1 Air) not really waiting for M2 Air, because I know that once 14/16 will be phased out by the new update, I will grab the "old" 14/16 for $1100 from local bestbuy.

I also bought last week an Air with 16GB. Even a new Air with M2 might be released, BTO devices with more RAM than the entry devices will take long time for delivery. As we can already see the current supply chain and delivery of displays etc., you might also wait for the M3… ;-)

I can't and won't buy a laptop with white keys and bezels, period so I'd buy the current M1 MBA instead of the new cheaper looking MBA with its white keys and bezels.

The M1 chip is still wonderful, it's not like competitors are running circles around it, at all.

Also, I like the wedge shape too. I dislike the uniform box shape, though not enough to not purchase it for that reason, unlike the white keys and bezels which will prevent me from purchasing it.

I’m not too opposed to the white but it’s nice that we’ll have that choice for a while.

I was waiting for this week WWDC to see, but got 20% off a 14" 16/1TB MacBook Pro yesterday, so with the apple price rise one would imagine, not much difference for same model in a new air.
Also I don't mind the white border on my 24" iMac but wouldn't want it on a 13/14" MacBook.
Never used to like the old white front iPads/iPhones either.

It is more like old ipad pro versus new shiny iPad Air. Single core will rise, but the gpu and multicore will still be superior in the "old" pro model. When new ipad air got announced with new A chip and faster single core, it is still made sense to buy discounted ipad pro for its refresh rate, gpu and multicore and etc.

Yeah, a white keyboard gets dirty, at least my old MacBook polycarbonate did. And I certainly prefer black bezels.

Well there you have it. MBA M2.

I won't consider buying unless the base is 16GB, given the increased cost.

It all depends on your needs. The New Airs look great but they are also on the $$$ side. The M2 with 16gb and 512 SSD will set you back 1700 before taxes. The 14 Pro has been on sale at 1800 with 16Gb and 512 SSD, a bigger and better screen, and a superior chip....
