There was an easter egg, because apple rejected the app when it used the volume buttons to snap pictures. That being the case, the app will now need to use the touch screen to take pictures. They can't be surprised. Apple's policy about easter eggs seems pretty clear (see the referenced 9to5mac article).
I ended up disabling the volume button feature because of that bug.the volume snap feature is bugged. after you enable it, anytime you go from the film roll back to the camera it snaps a picture by itself.
same here.I ended up disabling the volume button feature because of that bug.

Typical apple, they don't like how an app enhances the iPhone beyond what they envision, so they pull/reject it.
Bit of a noob question but... Will we be able to keep this app in perpetuity or does apple have the ability to remove apps that break the app store agreement from our phones?

Allows you to take picture with a physical button (the volume buttone) instead of tapping the screen. I picked up the app earlier this evening and love the hidden feature! It makes picture taking so much easier.
Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4 (32GB, JB): Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)
This feature has been available to jailbreakers for ages. On my iPhone, it works with the stock camera app as well. I don't see what the big deal is ...![]()
If it were up to me, this app would be dead and the developers would be permanently banned from Apple development, period.

Using the volume buttons to take pictures causes "user confusion", Apple? It's amazing how they view their customers as complete f'n idiots, and even more amazing how many of those people just accept it and believe that Apple knows what's best for them.
Why the hell wasn't this posted sooner?
