Camping Outside my Apple Store..who else!?

Have fun, but my in my opinion it's not worth it. iOS is still so limited and is the weakest link in this product now. Clearly, Apple needs to deliver a better product in iOS. It's like buying a Ferrari that is powered by one of those motorized scooters.
In regards to just the hardware, it does look nice. I am also confused why they call it edge to edge display when there are still black borders. Maybe Apple marketing has eye sight problems.

There might have been a time where i’d be willing to do this. But not anymore. I must be getting old. But even if I was younger, i’d probably only wait overnight for an Apple product once just for fun. Kinda like going to Times Square for News Years Eve. Once is enough. Lol. I will go to the Apple Store here on the Upper West Side of NYC Thursday however to test drive the 11” & 12.9” before I finally decide which one to buy.
4am. I’m on the west coast though so might have just been lucky and they made all states available at the same time.
I woke up an hour before my alarm was due to go off and througt I’d double check before trying to go back to sleep for a little bit. So not sure how long everything has been available to order for in store delivery. It wasn’t available at 9pm (midnight on the east coast) when I went to bed though
No, I checked from about 5:45 and it showed as unavailable for pickup. Went live a couple of minutes before 6am
I think most people now a days don't want to waste days of their life waiting for a store to open up and buy a tablet (or phone). Especially since you can easily get it on launch day anyways.

I just checked store availability where I am today and the 12 nearest stores are saying nothing’s available until 11/30? Seems strange. I’m in the NH/Boston area.
I honestly never understood how they got thousands of people to wait in line in years past.
I mean - what are you going to tell your boss to justify being late/not coming to work that day? That you're going to spend your night peeing in a bottle so you can be the first one in town to buy a mass-market consumer device that will be available country-wide within a week?

Nobody in the states so far is having any luck. All we’re seeing is pickup at the end of the month as the earliest option. Sucks that Best Buy has them in stock but Apple stores don’t?
