I was really looking forward to receiving my white iPhone 16 Pro Max today. The tracking this morning showed that it was at YVR and on its way to the Okanagan. However, it hasn't moved all day and it seems like Saturday delivery won't happen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Monday! #Sad 🥲

Yeah, mine is still running for 2 hours... I though USB-C would be faster than my previous 13 PM, but it seems it will take the same time to load the backup than it took to make it.

Oh and concerning my delivery, they left it in my front door without any signature as well. Not very satisfied with UPS. They did the same earlier this year with my Steam Deck. There's many packages that have been theft lately so its really unresponsive to let package over $2k at the front door without any signature.

Even Amazon require a signature or a PIN code for purchases over $500 I think so this is unacceptable that Apple and UPS don't require any.

Despite one failed attempt at phone to phone wireless setup, the second try worked flawlessly and took only 1.5 hours. The early estimates were 8 hours. This is quite good considering I have about 330 G of my iPhone storage in use. I will use wireless phone to phone setup from now on.

I’m in the same boat. Appears to have gotten stuck in Richmond and never made it to Vancouver Island. Pretty annoyed but nothing I can do.

So UPS never came again. Was showing today as the delivery date all day and now switched to Monday. Glad I got an in-store pickup instead. Will stick to in-store pickups going forward.

Definitely not a smooth launch day for some of us here. I'm feeling extremely lucky to receive my phone at the last minute today because I'd really be pissed off if I had to wait until monday. I'm with you all that don't receive their order today and I completely understand the frustration.

Hope you enjoy your new phone! My back up is about to finish now, so I can finally use it!

My one phone got bumped to Monday. The other phone apparently they don’t have therm correct address on file which is odd as it’s been in my choice all week and I ordered it with other one coming Monday. I called UPS requesting a callback to resolve and they never called back. Brutal.

Got stuck at YVR all morning but mine did make it to Victoria by mid day but no luck. UPS driver who is my regular stated they will have a bunch of drivers tomorrow for packages that were delayed due to the mechanical issue and did mention iPhones. Never had this issue for launch day delivery in Victoria before.

Have been using launch day delivery for past few years, all went well. This is the first year trying in store pickup because I got bad feeling when I saw my delivery date was Sept 23rd when pre order opened its door at 6am Alberta time….picked up my 16promax desert after work, around 50 people on the line but went through smoothly and not slow. Good luck to the rest.

I ended up switching my pick up to a Fido contract since I could keep my $34/50GB plan. Ended up being $55/month for the 16PM after 13 PM trade in for the phone + $34/month for the plan. They just had to refund my Apple Store purchase after it was converted to contract at the store.

Coming from the 14 Pro Max, and gosh, the 16 Pro Max seems big and heavy. In specs, it’s a bit lighter than the 14PM, but it’s noticeably taller, so it’s harder to hold and manage the weight with one hand. My wrist hurts.

I had a backorder + 4 weeks estimate when I ordered, and I got it 10am on launch day delivered

The 48MP main camera on the new Pro models comes with a second-gen quad-pixel sensor that eliminates any shutter lag (time between tapping the shutter button and the photo getting snapped) while shooting 48MP images. This is true both when you are shooting at the more storage-efficient HEIF format, and when shooting in Apple ProRAW. You can have your opinion about the upgrade but facts are facts. Get it right.
 
The bigger screen is surprisely very noticeable that was the first thing I’ve noticed and it’s even more obvious when compared side by side with my 13 PM. I had to rearrange all my wallpapers lol

I didn’t get mine in Saskatoon yesterday. I feel like they lost it because the only time this has happened to me before is with the iPhone 6 Plus, and at that time UPS did lose it.
