I never claimed mine was. You did. 🤡

You’re clearly just trolling, because your claims are absurd. Ignoring.
I think you’re replying to the wrong person. All I did was reverse your anecdotal evidence for more anecdotal evidence. It’s a little ironic you have a problem with that. Carry on.

I was in the store. I did hold both phones. One didn’t feel better or worse to me. But all my phones go in a case so whether the side of the phone is aluminum or titanium doesn’t matter because I can’t feel it. 🤷‍♀️
Well, to each their own. I have both the Air and Pro. And the Air in-hand feels like the better device with better finish quality.

15 and 16 pros are titanium and glass. 11 through 14 pro’s were stainless steel. Not aluminum.
You really should do some research.

No one I know uses cases most of the time. Your anecdotal experience is not representative.
BS. Literally everyone I know and every person I've ever seen, anywhere. Uses a case on their phone. Everyone else's experience is the same. Real world. Not fictional internet world. No matter what you claim on your anonymous message board, you are not correct. Unreality.

Walked into the Apple Store and every Orange/Blue 17 Pro Max on display was already scratched up with MagSafe rings. I got the Silver, and honestly, the Pro feels ridiculously cheap in hand. This is the first iPhone Pro that doesn’t feel like a Pro at all. On top of that, Apple’s marketing is completely misleading they hype it as some kind of ‘invincible’ phone, but the reality couldn’t be further from that. Totally disappointed this year
There are cameras made of plastic that cost more than an iPhone Pro. The pros may not feel "premium" but Apple didnt market them as premium, thats what the Air is. The pro is for people who will push the limits of what the phone can do. Personally I appreciate aluminum and less glass. My 16 Pro dims the screen quite quickly in the sun when im running the camera. I'll take better thermals over "premium" any day. Its a tool not jewelry.

Everyone else's experience is the same
Invalid. There are hundreds of people on these forums that indicate they don’t use cases. There are many, many threads about it.

None of my friends or family use a case. Maybe all of yours do. Surveys show just under 70% of iPhone owners do as of October 2023. https://cirpapple.substack.com/p/what-else-can-apple-sell-to-iphone

Feel free to produce any data that indicates 99% of iPhone owners use a case, which is what was claimed. We all know that’s blatantly false.

My post literally said IGNORE what dozens of anonymous people claim on the internet, because it doesn't represent reality at all. So you double down on the most flawed logic of all time.
Troll alert! Your take is so utterly ridiculous that you can’t be engaging in discourse in good faith. Ignored.

Nothing cheap at all about it. If they didn’t tell you it was aluminum I’m betting most of you wouldn’t know. I thought last years sharp edges were terrible. As was it getting hot as hell. I see no difference at all in the color. But i don’t doubt some here will bitch about the phone. They always do.

It’s definitely not cheap looking or feeling. It’s just that when you hold the Air, the Pro’s feel cheap in comparison. And that’s the hard truth.

I know this might be an unpopular opinion but when I went from 14 Pro to 15 Pro it felt like a downgrade in build quality. I thought the stainless steel on the 14 Pro looked more premium than the titanium 15 Pro. 🤷‍♂️
Agreed. I liked the shiny SS. The Ti was dull. So this year, Ti to aluminium is yet another downgrade.

I still remember when the pro's were made out of the best material, best screens, more ram, and a new feature that would eventually trickle down. I don't want anything trickling down from the current offering.

Running a 15PM right now and was considering upgrading to a 17PM. Went to the Store and agree that the new generation feels “cheaper” re materials used.
Walked out and will keep my 15PM another year.
Well. I caved and got a 17 PM 512 today via in-store pickup. I did not want to wait two more years for the 20th anniversary phone and I wanted the camera improvements and better battery. Put it in a case - and done.

There's a substantial amount of exposed aluminum across the top end of the backs of the [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]]]] Pros, including the camera plateau. My guess is that having unobstructed aluminum at these locations is making a significant contribution to heat dissipation for more intensive work. It might not be as noticeable when the phone isn't doing intensive work, but it's likely to still be significant.

That said, a lot of people are finding that the iPhone Air, even though its entire frame is titanium (not just a band around the perimeter), it doesn't contain a vapor chamber, and it still has an all-glass back, doesn't get unusually warm either. Some of this might be due to its new C[emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]X modem drawing less power than Qualcomm's modems, and the Air doesn't have quite the processing power as the Pros, but but my guess is something else is going on too.

I suspect the air feeling cooler is a combination of a couple factors.

1. Components are in the plateau. So all the heat is contained up there. Your hand is normally on the lower section of the phone. Just battery down there. Less heat dissipation down there phone. So it feels cooler even though the processor is getting hot. My observation at least.

2. Cpu throttling. It throttles down a bit earlier to help reduce the amount of heat. I believe they put a pro chip in there to use a hurry up and wait condition. Finish the task as quickly as possible to spin down. Anything sustained pretty quickly drops off in performance. For day to day stuff no one will notice. It’ll still run pretty much every game just fine.

3. They did some voodoo magic on cooling the device. Maybe a tear down will reveal some more info.
