Is anyone able to help me obtain beta 1 for an iPhone 7? The iPodHacks won't even download for me.

Surprised you guys aren’t able to flash back to iOS 10.x

I was easily able to do it with one of my test devices.

Steps :

Download restore image
Boot device into Recovery, after turning off ‘Find my iPhone/iPad’
When the message to update or restore pops up, hold down the OPTION key, navigate to the restore image and let it fly.

Okay - so I was able to obtain an IPSW for iOS 11 Beta 1. I'm not a developer, so it was a challenge as I can't use the official links provided by V1597PSH. If you are a developer, use those links.

If you are not a developer, you can use the google machine to search for the IPSW, which is what I did. I found a torrent with all iOS 11 Beta 1s by googling "iPad_Pro_HFR_11.0_15A5278f_Restore.ipsw".

I downgraded successfully to Beta 1 from recover mode. I then used the official 10.3.2 IPSW to downgrade back to iOS 10.

Hopefully this process is a non-issue with the iOS 10.3.3 Beta 4, which Apple released moments ago. I will not be trying that version any time soon...

Apple didn't release a beta 3...? They released beta 4 of 10.3.3.

But thanks for your update on the workaround.

ok i just did the same lets see if it works

EDIT: uhh still stuck in recovery :((

I don't understand the terminology some are using here, perhaps you're confusing yourselves? I've been using iOS since iPhone OS and using betas since iOS 3 btw.

Recovery mode is the what iTunes calls a device in DFU mode (that's the prompt which accompanies the "bump" noise when you enter DFU mode.

"iTunes has detected a device in Recovery mode and must be restored". So you hit restore and iTunes installs the newest, signed version on your computer.

The entire time this happens you should have nothing on your screen and tapping it or pressing any buttons yields no response from the device. DFU mode is compete user detachment.

If you're seeing connect to iTunes messages on your device it's not in DFU mode. From experience the only way to get back to the latest iOS from a beta is with a full restore via DFU and then either selecting "set up as a new phone" or "restore from backup" via iCloud put all your settings etc back on that you had pre beta.

People are calling it recovery because once the phone reboots out of DFU mode, it goes straight to the itunes logo. Where a web link is saying to go to apples recovery support page.

On an iPad 10.5?

Can confirm that after various tries to go from beta 2 to 10.3.2, the only thing that worked for me was to go from beta 2 -> beta 1 -> 10.3.2.

Beta 1 is out there.

1. Since I'd initially tried to downgrade straight to 10.3.2 form 11 beta 2, I first had to put my iPhone in DFU mode and restore to iOS beta 2.
2. Then I put the iPhone in DFU mode again and restored to beta 1.
3. Then I put the iPhone in DFU mode once more and restored to 10.3.2.

I need the beta 1 IPSW for iPhone 7 +, mind sharing? /pls

Beta 1 is no longer available for developers on Apple. You will have to torrent one for any device it seems.

I have been trying downgrading using different versions all day. And I just got it to work using the just released 10.3.3 Beta 4. All I had to do was a normal DFU mode restore. Didnt have to skip around any other versions or anything. Might be worth a try for anyone trying to get away from iOS 11.

will iTunes successfully upgrade the iOS 10 beta to regular iOS 10? Im trying to take in my cracked iOS 11 phone into apple for repair and they'll only accept current software, no betas.

Maybe Apple fixed it with 10.3.3 Beta 4? Interesting. I know for a fact that the 10.3.3 Beta 3 ipsw did not work yesterday.

You need to clarify your post. What version of iOS are you currently on?

Currently using 11 Beta 2. I downloaded the iOS 10 ipsw and tried to restore it from iTunes. Since then it's been restore-locked. Im trying to download 11 beta 1 so I can jump back down to iOS 10 from there, but I can't seem to find the ipsw.

If you google "iPhone_7Plus_11.0_15A5278f_Restore.ipsw torrent" you'll find a torrent file that has beta 1 for the various iphones/ipads etc, Just unselect all the the ipsw's except iPhone_7Plus_11.0_15A5278f_Restore.ipsw in your torrent client as the full torrent is around 25GB

Can confirm, I pasted iPad_Pro_HFR_11.0_15A5278f_Restore.ipsw into google and found a link at the top with 26 GB of iOS11 Beta 1 IPSW files. Use a torrent app like BitTorrent and only select the IPSW for your device when you start the download.

I am officially back to iOS10.3.2 on my iPad Pro 10.5".

The new in call screen looks really good. Anyone else hate the bolded headings in each app?
