I have the new MacBook Pro 2018 and just like everyone else I couldn't download and install Mojave beta 3. I waited for beta 4 and today I still can't install. It does download, but then it gives me an error message that states Important content could not be downloaded and it can not be instal-led, try again later. Not sure what else to do now. Any one else?

Yes, strange how some people can now install while others can't. I also reinstalled beta and tried 15 times since am. I tried on wifi, tried on ethernet, not sure what else to try.

I already have it on my desktop, love it. Just frustrating that I can't install on the new laptop.

First world problems. Oh the shame!

update 2: it broke the ability for me to connect external displays

Likewise, though only tried Thunderbolt 3 -> Thunderbolt 2 adapter into Apple Cinema Display. Will try my Thunderbolt 3 HD dock when I get home. Using an existing High Sierra USB install drive doesn't work for downgrade either, hopefully Internet Recovery works :\

Dark mode all the things!

Strangely I can see the ACD in Thunderbolt devices, the USB hub on the back of the monitor works...

The usb plugs on my dock work as well, charges the macbook too. everything but display. odd thing is when I click detect displays, it sends a quick signal to one of my monitors to wake up but it just shows a no signal message and then turns back off

Were either of you able to downgrade back to High Sierra? I'm struggling to downgrade on my 2018 MBP.

Downgrading was easy for me. since the computer is shipped with High Sierra - When you boot your computer press&hold Command+R (that will take you to recovery mode) and then open disk utility and erase the hard disk partition. when it's done restart your computer and then you will see a world icon with a dropdown below (which asks you to connect to a wifi network). connect to your network - and it then it will start downloading high sierra os and then it will start installing high sierra.

Do you have a 2018 MBP? I believe Apple hasn't updated the internet recovery tool for the 2018 MBPs.

Yes I have MBPR i9 model and I was able to downgrade my OS after I realized that brightness controls for 2018 MBPR does not work in mojave beta 4

Thank you, let me give this another go later today. I definitely tired this but it failed at some point during the High Sierra installation process.

Hi gang — quick question — I’m sure it’s in her 4000 times but I just got a new MacBook, how stable is Mojave? Shall I? Quick opinion greatly appreciated!

If you have to ask, I recommend NOT to do it. There are still significant issues to be worked out, and on 2018 models even basic functionality like screen brightness is broken

Brightness control is off
Intel Iris GPU seems to be overtaken by the discrete GPU, which drains battery and heats the Mac quit a bit...
External display connectivity seems impossible too.

To put it simply : discrete GPU issues ^^
