Catalina Apps Working/Not working

Canon DPPro software (latest version: 4.11.0) does not work with Catalina. The software opens and you can edit photos, but the "Convert to JPEG" option does not work. If you aren't familiar with this software -- its purpose is to edit RAW photos taken with Canon cameras and then convert those photos to TIFF or JPEG. So if you can't save as JPEG, it means the software doesn't work at all. Kind of like a car that works perfectly except that it won't go into Drive or Reverse.

I have an old Griffin RadioShark. The app is 32-bit so won't work. I can set it as an audio source OK, but no way to tune it, just get static. Any ideas, or is it e-waste?

If the app is 32 bits, no way to try to make it work.

You might want to try the browser Brave. I've been using it for about a week so far, and it's great! Fast, and it does an excellent job in eliminating ads.

I wish Apple would fix “Time Machine” so it will work on Catalina. Also “disk utilities” needs to be augmented so it will convert MBR drives to GUID to be compatible with APFS.

They work for me. You have to be careful about what else is playing. Media control keys will also latch to video play in Safari etc.

What's wrong with OneDrive?

It's not OneDrive. It's OverDrive.

OverDrive is a program that libraries in the US use to download audiobooks to people who check out the audiobooks.

The makers of OverDrive (32 bit) had announced that they were not upgrading their MacOS app to 64 bits. To avoid confusing people, they decided to stop the app from working last summer for all versions of MacOS.

Their still exist a streaming app version for MacOS or people can still use the OverDrive app in Windows.

I found a solution to getting MagicJack Plus 2014 VoIP functioning in a system with an iMac running OSX 10.15 Catalina and an ASUS RT-AC5300 WiFi router....

The details are:
1. Plug the MagicJack Plus 2014 into the ROUTER ethernet (not the iMac) via an ethernet cable
2. Provide the MagicJack Plus 2014 ample POWER using an iPhone USB AC adapter via a USB cable to both components
3. Reboot the router and ... MagicJackPlus 2014 works!

Be careful in upgrading ExpressVPN to the latest version v7.5.6.4.
Catalina 10.15.4 b2 will NOT allow the installation and it freezes before the end of the install.
The ExpressVPN engineers are working on a fix

HP Easy Scan is not compatible with Catalina.

There was a page on the HP web site which stated that HP Easy Scan was not compatible with Catalina, but this page appeared to disappear.

I found recently that if you download the HP Easy Start utility and then install the drivers for your printer you end up with a later version of HP Easy Scan (1.9.3) which does work with Catalina. If you download HP Easy Scan from the App Store you get an earlier version (1.9.1) which doesn't work.

However, when you install the full set of drivers you end up with a HP Device Monitor application which sits in the background and slowly consumes Gigabytes of RAM.

In the end I backed up the newer version of HP Easy Scan, uninstalled all of the HP software and then put back the newer HP Easy Scan. I then set up my printers using the Catalina drivers. I did have to log out and back in to get the Catalina drivers working again.

Since the 10.15.5 supplemental update yesterday, hyperlinks no longer work from emails on Outlook (16.38 - 365). Both MS and Apple now say they are aware of this problem. I am amazed this was not picked up by the beta testers or maybe they did not get to test the supplemental update.
