The TechMatte amFilm Tempered Glass screen protector arrived today. Installation was quick and painless, none of the Touch ID sensors are covered, and the feel is so smooth. No issues so far. My Zagg Glass+ protector is going to be returned for a refund. This protector is amazing and a fraction of the cost of the Glass+. And even better, if there’s ever a problem with this one, I have a backup screen protector because they include 2 of them in the package.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I was waiting to grab that one though it's been in and out of stock. I might buy it now and test one of the glass on my current iPad for a few days, then exchange my defective IPP11 and use the other glass for the new one.

Is this what you ordered swilliams?

I wonder how it works in the long run. It's odd a lot of people seem to complain glass works for a few days then gets wonky. What type of case do you use too? Members have mentioned using a magnet type case like the smart keyboard make glass not work correctly.

Yes, that’s the one I ordered. I’m using the Smart Keyboard folio. We’ll see how well it still works after a few days.

So does anyone have any feedback on the Power Support film yet? Does Apple Pencil scratch it like it does the Tech Armor? Is there enough room for a case or does it lift?

Thank you. I just ordered it. Shows as backordered, delivery next week.

trying this one too. in stock and arriving Friday. Truthfully, i'm not optimistic but we shall see. It will the first glass
I have tried since the end of November's Anker glass fail. Hopefully it is not headed for an Amazon locker Friday night.

I'm having an issue with the shipping of this... I ordered it when it was on backorder, estimating 2 day prime shipping for Jan 22, after the holiday. Now if I place an order today I can get delivery by this Friday, Jan 18. amazon says it's 'shipping soon', yet the order still says delivery next week.

I bought one when I went to japan and I am using one right now. It works well with Apple Pencil, no scratches so far. It does not lift with a case

Thanks! I have the MediaDevil now but it’s bad with fingerprints and goes right to the edge which restricts me only to magnetic cases, I wanted to put on the red DinoCase that I just got for some side protection and maybe pick up a Magic Keyboard but it unfortunately lifts.

After reading so many of your reviews, I went with MediaDevil in hopes of find the best screen protector for a Face ID iPad Pro. Well...today in the mail I received the package in less than stellar condition. I wrote back to the company stating my extreme disappointment even though I am State-side. Any other suggestions by any other companies?

Hi all, a quick comment on this (I'm the founder of MediaDevil).

In ten years of running MediaDevil, I've never seen an item arrive as damaged as this, and we've sent thousands of products internationally. This is easily twice as bad as the second worst example I've seen.

Our iPad packaging has cardboard tray reinforcement inside it, and our labels state DO NOT BEND. A handful of times a year, there will be the odd postman/woman that will fold our iPad protectors in half, despite them fitting perfectly well through a letter-box. Our product packaging is difficult to fold like this. It's reinforced enough that to create such damage would have required someone highly committed to foolishness.

This customer has contacted us (in a very polite manner) and we are sorting the situation - clearly, it's not their fault. I am quite shocked that a postman would take so little pride in the service they provide that they would do this, but what can you do.

If things in the US are the same as in the UK, then it'll be the same person delivering most mail to your home. If you ever receive something damaged like this it's best to have words with your postman, because this will have happened on the last leg of the delivery.

Best wishes

Callum

Thank you for responding Callum. I don't believe anyone would ever blame MD for that type of issue. And it's unfortunate it may fall on you to correct the situation when it was the fault of a different entity, where then you have to pursue action against them for damaging your/the customers goods.

Would you be able to tell us if the MD protector for the new iPads will ever be available on amazon again, and if the macforum community has a special offer available? I would absolutely love to test out the MD for my iPad Pro 11, though the cost with shipping, travel time, and risk of damage in transit over the distance is a major concern for me.

First 2 concerns perfectly valid, your third is nothing short of ridiculous. You’ve seen 1 post regarding shipping damage after folks here have received I don’t know how many packages from MD. I personally have received 3 shipments, 2 11” and 1 12.9” going to 2 different states without issue. I suggest you head to the UK and pick one up from their facility if you want to ensure zero damage.

I frequently ship from the US to Europe and it's a good 60/40 ratio on packages arriving with a decent amount of damage. The very last box I sent was crushed on one side. Luckily it was the side that had the most 'fluff' to prevent damage to the contents. So to see that MD ships in a plain envelope is a huge concern for me when it's coming from so far away, across many handoffs.

Figured I'd show some proof so you don't doubt me:

How long does MediaDevil shipping take to get to California. I ordered on Dec 4 with the free shipping option and still hasn't arrived.

No idea. Ordered it this week, should be arriving today. So far it has the best reviews on amazon for glass.

P.S. try to trim referral links to sites. I copied it to cut out the 'fat'.

thanks for the info! waiting to see a review in order to buy it too!

will report how it goes later today

Hurry up, would ya?....... ;-)

I returned my bent LTE but am not worried about an 11" WIFI. Only thing keeping me from buying another 256 at $150 off matching Microcenter pricing is ability to have a glass screen protector. I want a screen protector for my use case and if this works I'll probably get the screen protector in before even buying the iPad. Amazon reviews if they are to believed are actually good on this one. Thanks!

I'll report it once I exchange my current IPP11 this weekend. I don't want to waste one of the protectors on my current faulty IPP11 with dead pixels. I'm trusting the overwhelming positive reviews on amfilm glass.

One thing to note is it's extremely thin 'glass'. It's almost flexible.

45 minutes in and it’s working fiine, 95%. Fiber stylus seems to need a bit more delibrate pressure, pencil is as good as ever. For those other considerations in this thread; i,m not grounding the ipad by touching it and it’s lying flat in a TiMovo apple folio knockoff.

Additionally, according to my measuremets it is the typically available .33 mm thickness.

So this glass is good for the ipad pro 11?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JQ3YZT7/

Yes, as far as touch goes, this is miles better than the other two I’ve tried. It is indeed very thin, almost film like, but it is actually glass. I found out the hard way when my iPad came flying out of my Smart Keyboard Folio and landed screen down on the floor. There was a crack that went across the width of the protector, and a small scratch on my screen at the initial point of contact. So there are some downsides compared to thicker protectors, but they’re worth it in my opinion. The screen has absolutely no touch issues with this protector on. I just ordered another set to have on hand.

Same. Bent LTE, hesitated...bought wifi and I'm happy with it. I have had the Omoton glass screen protector on three 11" Pros now: the 256 LTE that was bent, a 64 wifi and I returned because it was too small, and a 256 wifi. It started out fine on the LTE but soon grew very unresponsive. But the one on the 64 was fine, and so is the one on the 256. No clue why.

I appreciate the report. Any issues with installation? Did you apply in a steamy bathroom? I usually let Apple Store or Best Buy apply my protectors so someone with many repetitions does it and I have reject ability. I really do have another iPad purchase hinging on a workable glass screen protector. thank you.
