Annnnnd... THEY'RE HERE!

So, they are not life changing, but they are pretty good. I've got some hastily shot pictures for you, but understand that: a) the lighting in the pictures is blowing out the color - in particular, in some of the pictures the color looks too light, in others too dark - that's photography and lighting exaggerating things - in "real life", there is perhaps a slight color difference (compared to Apple's Space Gray), but you can't see it unless you get your nose up against it; and b) same thing goes for the fit at the corners, it's pretty spot on, but if you use a magnifying glass, you can always see imperfections.

(Oh, the lower-left picture in the collage-of-nine shows one of the new Click adapters above one of the previous ones I was using - "Grey Apple Watch Band Adapter 38mm 42mm Watchband Iwatch Connection" bought Jul 15th on eBay from freedomoclock09. They were for 24mm watch bands, so I made tiny rubber washers to fit my 22mm band, and the springbars have residue from tape I wrapped on them to make them a little thicker.)

Since wearing it for a while after assembling things, I've noticed a slight reflection coming off the edge of the adapter where it protrudes from the slot in the watch. This is disappointing. Now, keep in mind, in the last picture (the one after the collage), that this is very much a closeup, with a very bright light shining at just the right angle to make it look as bad as possible (showing up as the bright line across the middle of the picture). If the body of the adapter were just a fraction of a millimeter thicker, it could have fit perfectly. I expect this could be the result of a safety factor (better to have it just a touch too thin than a touch too thick and then not fit at all), if their manufacturing partners can't hit quite close enough on the tolerances. (This is where Apple totally wins, in general, on manufacturing tolerances, by having full-time on-site staff to keep an eye on tolerances and quality all the way through the process, vs. visiting occasionally, and also by investing time and personnel in custom making tooling to meet their needs as necessary, vs. using what's available).

So, it could have been perfect, but it missed a little. Worth the $20-something? Yes. Worth the wait (and drama)? Eh, up to you, probably not. But I like the end result.

It looks like they are finally delivering an acceptable product. Thanks for the update.

My distaste for the process was created more by the hateful comments on the website initially and then by the lack of updates after November 18th. Delivering reasonably high quality product very late is not good but because it is a Kickstarter project, and because we knew we were dealing with college kids, I was okay with it. Not offering any updates after the 18th is unforgivable. JMO

I got a refund a few months ago and bought some from eBay for £10 including postage. The fit and colour of the eBay ones is spot on but I prefer the shape of your Clicks and eBay adapters. My eBay ones have a pin that screws into the adapter which isn't as nice as your spring bar. Would I have wanted to wait forever, pay a huge customs fee due to a Click paperwork cock up and potentially get duds as reported elsewhere? No.

Your strap is lovely by the way. What is that?

Edit: I forgot to say my eBay adaptors take a 26mm strap.

Wow they look really good - I had mine months ago & the fit was shockingly bad with a sharp protrusions. I now can't wait until I get the replacements through which will hopefully be sometime soon!

I haven't gotten anything. at all. i kinda just wrote this off as a wash. the idea was sound, but sadly, the chinese/overseas market beat them day one out of the gate. I had a nice "click" style adapter 2 weeks after getting my watch with a nice metal band on it. I can get more non-bar adapters on ebay and amazon for 11 bucks (or less) this is just a sad state. If i even get them.. great, if i don't i will just write it off as another kickstarter that got overly ambitious, and had never dealt with oversea manufacturing.

I received the stainless adapters and the bands today and they are damned good for aftermarket product. For those interested, the packaging is well executed. The color and fit of the adapters are excellent. The only thing that I've seen better is genuine Apple product. The leather sport band is nicer than the very similar one I've received from Amazon, it feels more "leathery" and less "vinyl". The link band is very nice, par for the course; its no worse and no better than the competition. So for $40 I received 2 pairs of stainless adapters and two bands, not a bad deal at all.

All in all had I received this package in June I would be a fan and would be congratulating the Click team. As it is, because of its late arrival, the excitement is gone; I've already bought several other bands. Finally, due to the Click team's lack of communication over the last couple of months I cannot recommend anyone do business with them. Had they remained in communication I might be recommending these adapters based on their fit and finish and value, BUT you might order them and not receive them in a timely fashion and, who knows if there would be any support if there was a problem with your shipment.

Its too bad really, my initial thoughts were that here was a bunch of ambitious, good kids with an noteworthy entrepreureal spirit. Instead I'm left with a terrible taste in my mouth about how they do business. I hope they get that while the tardiness of the product was a huge problem it was their lack of communication that lost me.

If you were a backer like me then maybe you too will finally receive what you were promised. I wonder if I was shipped as a result of my complaint to the BBB? Hmmm....

Yes, but if I only just got the aluminum, they're still way behind.

Thats the point, you didn't complain and just received your aluminum adapters (relatively late), I DID complain and was seemingly one of the first to receive stainless adapters; maybe there is a connection? Or maybe not. Its not a big deal and its just speculation. The bottom line is that the stainless adapters they finally delivered are of good quality, but the company remains dubious when it comes to customer support, imo.

Or maybe it's because we both live in the south and they are shipping by region? I could go on like this all day. ;)

But you're right, their customer support doth sucketh.

So when you say you'll just write this off as a wash, do you mean you'll just let them take your money and not deliver a product to you and be okay with it!? I think that's absurd...!

i have to say, i agree there. they've been delivering product to other customers, so it's not like someone had an amazing idea to capture a unicorn that people backed but never came off. if the product exists, everyone should get it.

Not only that but there should be some accountability. I'm super tired of this whole Kickstarter camp. Kickstarter is a ***** company. After the whole Pebble Steel I'll never step foot on that site again.

Pebble steel had their product designed, made and ready to manufacture. They didn't NEED money to get the product made otherwise it wouldn't be made, they went on kickstarter to simply take Pre-Orders to see how much demand there was so they wouldn't be stuck with extra product. That whole model is garbage. I hate it and I'll never support it.

And stuff like this happening with the apple watch attachment, get with the game! I mean, are they transparent about it at least or are they tip toeing around the issues? If it crashes and burns and they take people's money but don't deliver a product, they should be put up on a "Wall Of Shame!"

I received the space grey 38mm adapters, and they seem to fit well, but some of the space grey color already scraped off from removing them from the watch.

Finally got shipping notice for 42mm SS adapters. They mailed it to my old address even after I emailed them multiple times to get the address changed. I have mail forwarding setup, so the package should make its way to my new address eventually.

Mine arrived last night. NOT IMPRESSED! One of the two lugs is damaged near the pin hole so I'm not going to risk my watch falling off mt wrist.

Additionally the sides of the stainless adapter has a rough satin finish. It's not even close to the mirror finish I was expecting.

Hopefully a replacement won't take 6 months!

Interesting, thanks for the link. Can you say which widths of bands fit on these adapters?
For example the Click adapters for 38mm case take 22mm bands and the GYMLE adapters for 38mm case take 20mm bands.

Best regards!

Absolutely. The same sizes apply as the GYMLE. For 42mm Case, you can use 22mm, while for 38mm, you can use 20. Thank you.

No holes on the outside either.

I believe the holes on the side are to assist in using the punch end of the watchband tool to push in on the spring pin releasing it from the lugs. Some bands can fit so tightly that it's difficult to get the forked end of the tool between the band and the lug to effect the release. Also less chance of damaging the band.
