A highly anticipated compoent to the xbox that gives motion control to the xbox like the wii, except unlike the wii that uses the controllers and a sensor on placed on the tV, this uses only a sensor and your body. Pretty cool and ingenious.

It looks cool and it will sell. But I predict people will use this no more than the Nintendo Wii's that quickly started gathering dust after a month or so.

I don't have an xbox but rather a ps3,and I'm tempted by their motion sensing controller.

Will this whole argument just die already...
Microsoft have some great products. Apple have some great products. Some of them overlap.
Neither party is going anywhere anytime soon and do you you know what, It Does Not Matter.

Liking Apple does not mean disliking Microsoft, this whole Versus thing nearly killed Apple in the 90`s.

How about we all just get along :)

Oh sure! Why don't we just all get along? :p

Like Coke vs Pepsi? or Republicans vs Democrats? Cops vs Robbers? Mac vs PC?

And here I always thought it was MS's underhanded tactics and theft that nearly killed Apple in the 90's. Oops. My mistake.

Seriously, MS is in decline. (except for the all-wonderful xBox which is singlehandedly taking over the entire gaming world and one or two others it noticed on the way over)
When you're as big and dominant as MS, you have to work to stay on top. They're not.
Tiny little Apple beat them to the Tablet market. How is that possible? They're not really trying or they're incompetent. Either way, they lose.

Heaven help them if someone other than Apple comes out with a competing OS. They can probably stand against Apple's meteoric rise for some time but if some major company drops MS, they're toast. Why? Others will follow.

The world is full of frustrated Windows users. Give us a reasonable alternative and a whole lot of us won't be for long!

Doing my part in getting along,
(by never bothering MS-specific sites)

I don't think M$ care about tablet computers as they are a Software company, not hardware. M$ wasn't beaten at all. Apple beat Dell, Acer, Levono, etc to the game. Once these hardware companies actually come up with a suitable tablet computer (I heard Samsung are close), M$ will then see fit to make a suitable OS for it, if they are requested to. If not, M$ will just continue, rather happily, developing software for the many platforms it caters for.

And that aside, why should M$ even care? They have a very healthy market where they are at. Operating Systems, Games Consoles and Software. Not to mention that WP7 has totally sold out in the UK.

I think you're partly right, partly wrong. Big M does care - or else they wouldn't have had that big push a few years ago for tablet PCs. The fact is, whether Dell, Acer et al wanted to push tablets or not, they had little to no choice because people didn't like Windows Tablet OS and other OSs like Android weren't even a speck on the radar. It was mostly the desktop-as-mobile software that flopped - with a little help from clunky, bulky devices.

Microsoft dropped the ball, big time. Hardware manufacturers can't move on a software-driven product without the software. You're correct Microsoft is a software company, but that's also why they're to blame (partly) for lack of a good non-Apple tablet now - they didn't development or innovate the software to drive such a device.
