I had a buddy from around there. In fact, when I was thinking about going into architecture, I mulled over going to Auburn, but my family would've disowned me :D

I really hope we eventually get an Apple store in AL, the closest ones are in TN and GA.

I feel that, I was raised an Alabama football fan and I thought I thought my father was going to cry when I told him I wanted to be a pharmacist...he knew that meant I was headed for Auburn.

Yeah, an Apple store would be really nice. The closest thing we have at AU is the bookstore which sells macs.

What school in Indiana do you go to?

Valparaiso University... home of horrible professors, overpriced tuition and NO MAC SUPPORT OR MAC LABS ON THE ENTIRE CAMPUS!

Setup in a place called california, .in pennsylvania

i have a iMac G5, w/ bluetooth keyboard and mouse (w/ the iMac G5 set up the way it is i wouldn't have anything but wireless), HP 1610 All-in-One printer, Airport, jbl creature2 speakers, iPod nano, LG 1GB USB Drive, a Bluetooth Wacom Tablet, and other small things such as PNY 256 USB Drive, and Creative 256 mp3 player, awaitng a stand for my airport to display on my desk, an iBook G3 (found it fairly cheap so it will be nice for word processing and internet use outside of the dorm), 7 port USB hub to keep the back of my iMac clean, and a Keyspan Remote w/ Airtunes! Well, I am currently studying abroad in New Zealand, but here is a Pic of the set up that awaits me back home. Although it has been moved out of the dorm you see it in. Also, I have a pic from my Freshman year dorm setup, that was before I jumped into the world of LCD. :)

In that second pic, did you live in a co-op/suite of rooms? Kind of cool that you all would have your computers out there together... or were they all yours?

All that stuff was between my roommate and me.

We both had desktops and laptops and that was his TV. All together it came out being a pretty sweet first year set up.

Here's my "college" setup. I'm currently living at home, but that will change in two years when I go to University Park, PA.

I would have spilled coke on my laptop about 500 times by now on that desk! You must be coordinated or disciplined.

Me 2! My family has those plates! Though we are phasing them out with new ones. too funny. I guess mac users DO think alike.

:p Wow, I never thought I'd hear that people have the same plates as me! Pretty cool. My family has had those plates for probably 25 years.

Needless to say, I am lusting desperately after a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse.

Not pictured: 30GB iPod 5G, Black, and my HP PSC 1510 AIO printer, which is wired into the Airport Express.

My next setup update (after December) should include a new PB, a 15" Apple Studio LCD (ADC) monitor, a docked iPod, and perhaps even an iSight. I've already purchased the monitor (200 bucks total WITH the ADC adapter), and the PB is a likely Christmas present.

My current college Mac setup!

Finally got around to take a pic of my current setup. I don't like how it's set up, too many cables!!!

But after the PowerBook fiasco and stuff, I got myself a Power Mac--never been happier!

powermac_athlon64.jpg
(click to make bigger)

My Power Mac G5 dual 2.7 GHz is next to my Athlon 64 3000+ (Newcastle core) PC, which is the Unix server. Right now the Athlon 64 runs Gentoo Linux w/ kernel 2.6.14 just to see how far Linux has gone since I've last tried it. Will eventually be putting FreeBSD 6.0 back on it.

I also have other computers (an old Athlon XP 2100+, an even older Pentium II 233 MHz, and an even *OLDER* 40 MHz SPARCstation II).

An obvious Computer Science major, eh? ;)

Recent switcher, so my setup is minimal... but am desperately saving up for a 20" ACD and an Intel PowerBook... I have the latest revision 12" iBook BTO, 80GB HD, 1024mb RAM, Harman/Kardon Soundsticks II, 20GB 4G iPod and a lovely new Mighty Mouse.

Apologise for the picture quality... was taken on a camera phone.

Too bad you are stuck with that ugly HP monitor. I have one for my Windows machine and I can't stand it. Nice to see you have the Apple Keyboard and Mouse at least.

Keep in mind that wasn't by choice. It was from my sister-in-laws HP. I talked her and my brother into this machine, but had no money left for a monitor. Soon though. It won't last for long.
