guys the info i had posted was unfortunately incorrect. The issue has nothing to do with the memory id's, sorry for the inconvenience. I still hope a solution will released soon though

I also wasn't trying to make this any less than it is. It seems this freezing issue is becoming less problem. Mine was solved by replacing the iMac. Possibly some of the updates have worked. One would think there would be a lot more noise if it wasn't getting better.

The Leopard/1.3 combo fixed it for me. Absolutely no freezes since I updated.
