I have been using AdGuard for a year. It works rather well. Just noticed however, it’s from another country.

While there is no indication presently that data is being sent off shore does anyone know which Adblocker is made in the US?

FWIW I’m fairly certain content blockers can’t see your browsing history, they provide blocking rules ahead of time and Safari loads then in, rather than the content blocker running their app or an extension every time you browse. Further more AdGuard hasn’t requested permission to anything like contacts, photos etc.

I don’t recommend Norton but it is. Though nothing to say programmers have to be.

AdGuard is a VPN. You can with work use a router which can filter along with host a VPN. Or one of many VPN products.

I use AdGuard on iOS and Android. There have as any software product issues at times like failing to update rules at one point.

There's a version of Adguard that doesn't use VPN and is simply for Safari.

Norton is surprisingly small and effective for ads in iOS.

Firefox Focus and BlockBear are another two fairly good ones.

I fiddled a little bit with the settings... Which are the default filters guys?
Set up my phone as new the other day so fairly certain these 4 are the default ones:

Edit: wait, there is also the Safari filter @Feenician mentioned further down, sorry!
