I just tried signing out and in on with iCloud (again) on MBP and iPhone 6, and still no handoff. The handoff option in General Preferences is checked, and everything in "About this Mac" looks correct, as far as I can remember. Don't know what is going on.

In the CAT tool to check "System Diagnostics," everything reads "OK" except the following... Can't remember if it was that way in El Capitan or not.
[doublepost=1465935273][/doublepost]I got Handoff working. I went back and looked over the thread I had started last year for El Capitan. Last time we had problems, cloudpaird was not running. I checked Activity Monitor a little while ago, and sure enough, there was no cloudpaird activity. I followed the steps again per this post from the thread and Handoff is working again.

@sysfloat - If there is anyway CAT can be updated so we don't have to do the manual fix, it would be much appreciated. Without your work last time, we wouldn't have still been kicking around.

Yes it indeed seems to be cloudpaird. Unfortunately cloudpaird does not output debug information anymore, which makes it a bit harder.
I will try to find the new required patches and update CAT ASAP (I can't just bundle the old cloudpaird file since it's technically piracy).

Stay tuned. A new version of CAT for Sierra should be released soon, (re: sysfloat) which should make life a lot easier for us on older Macs running MacOS Sierra.

One thing I have noticed yesterday and today, is that mail doesn't handoff. I haven't had a problem with the other Mac apps. I am chalking it up to Sierra beta issue at the moment. If anyone else has mail handoff for them, please let the rest of us know.

Mail handsoff doesn't work for me either. Guessing this could be a beta thing.... As my signature says; macOS DP1 and iOS 10 DP1

As @BasicGreatGuy said, I pushed a new version on Github. You might need to reinstall CAT in order for it to work.

I also got a new patch for the dongles, which works fine (no kernel panic) with no dongle.. I still need someone to test it with a dongle though. I also plan to get this patch working on El Capitan to get rid of the kernel panics (if it even works at all :p )

Send me a PM if you want to beta test the new dongle patch!

In regards to Mac Mail not handing off between the iPhone 6 and MBP, I noticed a few minutes ago, that Mac Mail is being handed off from the MBP to the iPhone consistently. I just filed a bug report. Hopefully, Apple will regard the problem as a real bug and squash it. If I get a reply, I will post the status.

I have been running the (new) CAT 2.3 release for 24hrs now, and all has been working well outside of the aforementioned Mac Mail. Thanks again to sysfloat for the time and work he has put in on CAT, so that those of us with older MBP can keep rockin' with Sierra.

Damn you're fast :p

Yes CAT works fine with Sierra, just get the latest version from github.

Please report whether or not the new features like auto-unlock work. I can't test this because I don't have any device on iOS 10 and won't for some time.
I had no idea until today (while reading something else) that my 2011 Mini could provide continuity. Thanks to your tool, I am able with Sierra and iOS 10 to handoff and use the universal clipboard.

Wanted to say thanks for your work on this. I get a little nervous loading apps from unknown sources but after reading though here I thought I would give it a shot. Took a bit to get it done but so far so good.

Everything is working in Beta 2 except auto unlock. I don't know if this will require an update or a separate tool. Hopefully someone releases a patch soon.

Did you have to run the tool again after update? I don't have any of the features working at the moment.

Apple seem to have limited the auto unlock feature to 2013 and later macs. There had better been a valid technical reason for this. Im guessing that there will be an update to the CAT eventually that enables it.

Have you tried reinstalling beta 2 over the current install(without wiping he drive clean)?

I had a similar issue on when installing 10.11.4 and reinstalling the OS on top of the current install fixed the prob.

If I may make a suggestion:

While I'm not running the 10.12 beta, I would advise people to uninstall CAT before updating to the next beta. It is something I did during the 10.11 beta/officials and I never had any probs (besides the above mentioned since I forgot to uninstall CAT first). It may alleviate any headaches for many people. I understand that having to uninstall/re-install CAT after every update is a pain, however it's better to be safe than sorry.

So the good news is that after uninstalling and reinstalling the CAT the option for turning on auto unlock now appears and when I wake up my Mac it attempts to login.

The bad news is that after attempting to login with the watch it asks for my password.

This is a start at least. Are you running watchOS 3? If not then that may be the issue. Also what year is your machine?
